So its payday today and although its great to see the figures coming down on my sig its also abit depressing that i know im going to have a tough month as i have loads to pay out. Council tax free this month so that will help a little bit but really need to try and make some extra pennies and be really good with the money i do have. Im hoping to get some more expenses in the next few weeks will probibly be about £80 so that will help alot. Im really happy as after this payment i shall only have 1 more payment to make on my orange credit card and then thats paid off. Will be lush to take that off my spreadsheet. Hope everyones ok

Good news about the credit card nearly paid off - what a feeling that will be!
Bad news re underpayment. Could they not give you a cheque to sort it out now?0 -
Aparently not. It has to go through next months payroll which i suppose it will be a little extra for next month. Its unreal how a little amount can totally mess up a budget. How you getting on Lam xLBM 11/10

Hi Shy,
Didn't want to read and run! Well done for your debt busting so far - sounds like you've got a great attitude and I'm sure it will be a great 2011.
I started my diary in December and already feel it'a making a difference. Its great to be focused on the debt and try to tackle it rather than ignore it and see it grow!
How annoying about the under payment??! If they had over paid you I bet they'd be wanting their money back asap! So unfair. But with cutting groceries and ebay hopefully you'll manage.
Have a good week and I'll look forward to reading you progress!

So today has been a horrible day! Car failed its MOT so dread to think how much thats going to now cost me. Also have a job oppatunity and i just cannot make my mind up about what to do. I cant afford to take any sort of pay cut so it depends on the offered salary i guess that will decide for me. Went shopping last night and managed to come out with everything on my lsit for £40.42 so only 42p over my budget im so happy with this as i usually budget £60 for my shopping just shows it can be done. Nearly home time now and cannot wait to get home and relax. Ive now had to take saturday morning off work to get my car fixed so thats more money lost and spent. Overall not a great day :-(

Not feeling very posative at the moment about this debt busting. I really really want it all paid off and im wishing my life away. Cant believe how tight this month is already and i only got paid 2 days ago. Its the things like the unexpected car mot fail that do this to me...wouldnt it be nice to savings and to just say oh thats fine i can pay for it without worrying. Im having a night out this weekend and its been planned for months but before im even there its costing £66 - £22 hotel £14 train and ive budgeted £30 for the night out but now i feel bad as i could use that money elsewhere like keeping me out of my overdraft.
Need to list some more bits on ebay but not sure i will have the time now. Out for a birthday meal tonight for a friends birthday again been planned for a while but an added expense i could do without. Ive got a few bits on ebay and 1 item has 14 watchers but only a bid of 99p so far im hoping that goes up a little bit. Im going to the bank at lunch to get a statement so i can sit and work out exactly where i am and whats still to be paid then i can see how much in the red i am and how im going to get back in the black. Any advice greatly appreciated

Hi Shy, look how far you've come with your debt repayments. Yes this month is going to be tough and I've no doubt there will be more tough ones ahead but you can do this. I want to be debt free this year too, perhaps we could help each other through the tough times to get to where we want to be?Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160

Hi Knitty thank you for your kind words. It seems such a struggle sometimes doesnt it. From your sig you have come on leaps and bounds. Do you have diary? I will pop across and have a look.

I do but I've only just started reposting on it again. I'm lucky as when my OH is in work he gets paid fairly well so we can pay off a lot quickly (and I ebayed loads and sold some old mobile phones off too last year). It's times like this when he's out of work that it's difficult, but even if he stays out of work I'm determind to clear my debt somehow! Even if it's not as much as I would have liked every penny counts!
The hardest thing for me is the boredom. It seems even when we go out to do cheap things it ends up costing us money (for instance tomorrow night is a radio recording but when we come out we'll go somewhere for dinner as it'll take too long to get home and cook and when we've been before I come out starving!) so we went up doing nothing.Debt at lightbulb moment (18 Aug 2009) 30933.95,Debt 1 July 2011 £9663.71Debt free date[STRIKE]February 2017[/STRIKE] September 20160
