Can you take out a loan to travel ???

I can see the attraction in going off overseas to work for a year, although the money you can earn will be itinerant worker wages and probably less tha you would need to live on, so you will need some of your own cash too. Some countrie even ask for evidence at the border to prove you're not planning to sponge! I've seen a bunch of the world and been glad I did, but coming back to no cash, no flat, no goods was miserable each time - if I had come back to big debt too, I'd have stayed away!
Keep your traveling dreams alive - and work out where you're going so you can budget what each place costs (Thailand is cheaper than Aus, for instance), what each visa will cost, what flights will cost etc. Things like the Aus working visa (a couple of hundred quid or so?) take a long time to come through, so whilst you're waiting you can get stuck into your second job! Just a word of caution, don't work anywhere without the right visa - if you're lucky you'll get expelled as an illegal immigrant, some places you'll also do a bit of jail time too. Both will probably set your holiday back more than doing your homework and staying legal. And let your holiday dream pull you through night shifts at the garage, or whatever you find as a second job!0
