Anyone with Capital one cards, keep an eye on your account online.
I have a direct debit set up with them to take minimum payment each month, they took the first 3 months but failed to take last month's even though my bank have confirmed the direct debit is active and there were sufficient funds in my account to cover this.

Just checked my online card account and they have charged me £24.00 for late payment fees and over limit charge plus interest on these charges.

Just spent nearly an hour on the phone to them trying to get them to take these charges off the account. I am not racialist but the person I spoke to was Indian and could not understand what I was talking about and kept talking over me. They are asking for £45.30 for feb's payment due on 27th Feb, so I advised them that if they take £24.00 off this, then the amount left would be £21.30. I have just paid £20.00 on my card over the phone but they are still saying I owe them £34.00 at the end of Feb...... !!!!!!...... how do you work that out.
Could not get them to understand at all..... they have told me if I am not happy then I need to write in.....which I will definately be doing. I have spent a long time on the phone (and being charged for it) and the way they were talking to me was as if its my fault (the guy actually said I will take this off as a gesture of goodwill... nice of him when it was their fault...)

I have now cancelled my direct debit and will be paying what I believe is due each month by debit card.

Be careful with them and always keep an eye on your account.....
