Not indicating at roundabouts

...and people who after they've got money out of the cash machine just stand there in front of it messing around with their bags! Really you should be allowed to kill these people. Its the only way they'll learn
Hmmm, difficult one with the cash machines. Personally, I never walk away until the money is in my wallet and out of view (don't want to walk down the street with a bunch of money in my hand). But, obviously, this doesn't take that long really.“That old law about 'an eye for an eye' leaves everybody blind. The time is always right to do the right thing.”0 -
Well speaking from my experience people are just lazy to indicate,0
-
Simples:
1. Everyone knows what turn off I take on the roundabouts in my commuting route - no need to indicate.
2. Indicating adds to light pollution all over the world over!
3. It is not cool to indicate on roundabouts - the Fonz would not indicate.
4. If I am not indicating I may not know which turn off I am meant to be taking (OAPs especially)
5. Using the other hand to text the Girlfriends - what's a player to do?Hope For The Best, Plan For The Worst0 -
It annoys me too
But what really annoys me is people in the left turn lane who proceed to take the furthest right exit after cutting me up and nearly taking the front left of my car off.
Ooooarrrr seems to happen a lot in these ere countri parts.. oooarrrrr0 -
not roundabouts but...
small road, you drive on your side and comming towards you is another car, who should pull over to let you pass if you have gone first (as they will need to drive on your side of the road to pass)
but no, yesterday driving up a road, we had right of way, but the burk who thought he could squeeze through by flooring it and taking my wing mirror off, because he had spacial awareness issues, had loads of room on his left, but still had to drive on on our side :mad:0 -
Obviously most people who buy cars and don't indicate have cars that don't have them fitted, Only joking, But it annoys me when your waiting to pull left out of a T junction, But theres a car on the straight so you wait for them to pass, However they just turn at the last minute into the junction with out indicating, People who dont indicate are just idiots, And apart from people who talk on there phone whilst driving this is one of the most annoying things i encounter.' You only live once ! Don't live to regret the past, But to enjoy the future '

Yes, this is one of my road rage moments - when waiting at a roundabout, and the car on the right, despite not indicating turns left, whereas I could've gone straight on if I'd known it.
My thoughts are:
- if it's a single carriageway - indicate left or right,
- if it's a double carriageway - left lane for left & straigh-on, right for right & straight-on - with the appropriate signals per lane.
The other thing that does amuse me, is when people on the left side of a double carriageway wait - despite the large lorry or coach in the right lane moving off onto the roundabout. What are they waiting for!?I used to work for Tesco - now retired - speciality Clubcard0 -
When there's two lanes leading up to a roundabout... and only two exits from the roundabout, but everyone seems to use the same lane because the two exits are both to the left-ish (or right-ish). If the first left is to the right, then it's ok to use the left lane - though I think it confuses people when talking about a left that is right.. but 'nough said before people start comparing my post to politics...
I don't indicate on a roundabout with clear lane markings and exit lanes - though I would indicate before I got to it. I don't indicate when going straight on with small roundabouts, but on bigger ones I will indicate left an exit before the one I want.
On larger roundabouts with no lane markings and I'm turning right, I will start to slide to the outside of the roundabout so that by the time I'm at the entrance before the exit I want I'm on the outside, ready to exit... so no beggar pulls out from the entrance going straight on. I believe that is what the lane-marked roundabouts intend you to do, and what the highway code recommends, so I don't see why anyone has to shoot across a lane of traffic to get off at the exit they want and cut others up.0 -
This is a great thread. Agree loads about the death penalty for those that dont indicate at mini-roudabouts.
Another real bug bare of mine is when you have qued in traffic for a right turn at a roundabout and some muppet pushes in by shooting up the left lane and then turning right and blocking your exit as you go round.
They then give you the bird for showing your annoyance.
Keep up the good moan peeps.0 -
I have got out of my car and chased a man up the road before now when being cut up at the roundabout. Long story but rest assured I still dont know why I chased him on foot when he drove off!!
GOne day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0
