We've also been growing our own veg since I last posted. We have salad leaves which we've been eating for a few weeks now and are so tasty. We also have but are waiting for salad onions, lollo rosso, tomatoes, cucumber, green beans, red peppers, sweet chillis, hot chillis, potatoes & strawberries. All in pots, bags and a raised bed that cost us a tenner :j Hopefully that should see the food bill come back down in the next few weeks and months. I'm no garderner, but they all seem to be doing okLBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Don't think I'm going to be able to make the £500 overpayment to Barclaycard this month. The dishwasher has broken so I need a new one. Been looking in the papers for a secondhand one but no luck yet. Hopefully we'll be able to get one for about £50, if so I'll still be able to make that overpayment. If we have to get a new one, who knows, but at least I won't be paying it on credit :TLBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Waitressing went well. Got £40 and some leftovers to take home for our sunday lunch. Off work today and tomorrow as DS7 has 2 inset days. Dishwaher is ordered and is coming on weds. £195 so not too bad.
Went to brighton today with DS7 and used the voucher from tescos to get him in for free to the sea life centre. It's still not worth the £16.20 it cost for me as it only takes an hour to go round it
Treated him to some new football boots in the sales and a couple of footballs to go with it. Went on the pier too and spent our pennies in the slots. Not very MSE but he enjoyed it.
1st physio appointment tomorrow about my stomach. Hopefully they'll be able to do something about it as I feel very fat at the moment.
Hopefully the weather will be better tomorrow, and we'll be able to go out on a long dog walk. Going to get some batch cooking done tomorrow too.LBM Dec 10. Total unsecured debt £41176  Nov 12 Debt Free Thanks Mum x RIP x

Thanks CW2
Just paid £400 to Barclaycard (£340 over the minimum payment). Total debt now is £27961.83. So £13084.51 paid since the beginning of the year. Gee, to think what we could have done with all that moneyOh well, dfd is getting nearer albeit slowly, and is now looking like May 2013. Less than 2 years to go, and all that extra money will be ours :j
Did a weekly meal planner earlier, then went shopping. Still cost me over £76, but so much better than the last few weeks when I didn't bother planning. Lots of salad this week, as all my lettuces are readySadly my cucumber plant didn't make it, no idea what we did wrong, everything else is thriving.

Hi Rachel, your diary title caught my eye as my debt was similar so I have subscribed.
In fairness I should be debt free later this year but I am going to divert some money to get my central heating replaced as A it doesn't work and B it costs a fortune being this inefficient so I will be longer- but hey.
Also I change jobs next week and am moving to a lower paid job (I'll be poorer but happy)
Good luck with it
