Hiya DF, hope you're doing ok?

I've not been able to get onto that website for ages, maybe they've gone bust! Shame as we ran out of their meat a while back, and I haven't found anywhere else quite as good or as cheap. Will keep looking though, and let you know if I find any other bargain sites.

Thanks hun - it's nice for comparison.

I get meat from DH still and it's cheaper that Mr T's and soooo much nicer so i won't compain :)

I haven't done belly pork before so I may ask him to get some and do it as you have before or in my slow cooker. What gravy do you do with it?

I don't think I'd do belly pork in the slow cooker, well you could I suppose, but you'd have to crisp it up in the oven. I'm a bisto gravy girl, so I've no idea about gravy :D

Well yet again I have spent too much money this weekend :o. We wanted to go for a bike ride, and after looking at DS7's bike, we decided he really needed a new one, and a new bike helmet too. So that was £114 spent sat morning . He is paying us back though, from his post office savings account as I think he should learn the value of money early on. Then we went on a 10 mile bike ride, stopping at a pub for a drink halfway.

Well the spending doesn't stop there.....while waiting for the bike to be built, we went for a pub lunch. Then yesterday we went out for a few drinks after another bike ride, then I had a chinese later on (just me, I was starving as I'd also been to the gym in the morning

   ).

There will be more spending today....as it's my birthday. DH has the day off, and is coming to take me out to lunch - I still have to work.

    I will try harder next week.....honest :o

I did manage to pay the £500 to bcard, but now we're a bit skint!

You're taking money from a 7 year olds account because his bike is too small to teach him the value of money? Bit much.

    Hiya!

HUGE congratulations. I won't waste my time on the above comment either.

I bet you are so pleased with debt coming down nicely.

How's things? Are you still on the huge menu plan you created a while back or have you done another one?

First day back to work for me and glad of 4 day week! i haven't menu planned though which isn't like me but been enjoying time off too much! Lol.

I also bought the secret takeaway book so will be having a crack at some of those next week.

Well, I've just logged on to my online banking to see if I've been paid, and had a nice surprise. It seems, after checking on an online salary calculator, that I've been given a £1k payrise :j. Not sure why they didn't tell me though, but I'm not complaining :D

Still plugging away on the payments, and debt at the mo stands at £28,880.55, so we're getting there. I'm trying to overpay barclaycard at the moment by £500 a month.

Things have been a bit carp in RL, which is why I haven't been on my diary much. Mum has had her diagnosis and it's not good. Cancer of the liver and bile duct, and they can't do anything for her. They did offer her chemo, but she decided not to have it as it wouldn't prolong her life. They've only given her months left, but she seems to be doing ok at the moment.

I've also started smoking again :o which is not good, but I've been a bit stressed. I'll give it up again soon, but not just yet.

I've also been doing Slimming World for the last 2 months, so my food bills have rocketed :(. I have lost 9lbs though :D. And I've had a diagnosis from the doctors about my enlarged stomach. It seems I have diversification of the recti, which is where the muscles at the front of my stomach have come apart, so I've got to have a scan, then physio to try to repair them.

Made some lovely sw friendly vegetable samosas last night...lovely. And I've a day of cooking planned for today. Going to make an egg & gammon loaf, fat free lasagne, and a chicken curry for tonight. Just waiting for all the meat to defrost so I can start. Not off for half term :( but I have got next mon & tues off as DS7 has 2 inset days. Why oh why can't they have them during the holidays
