I wasn't married at the time but I'm pretty sure it was a fairly nominal nod to the encouragement of marriage.

Having just watched Big Fat Gypsy Weddings I can't even think of marriage without wetting myself laughing! ;)
    Gone ... or have I?

It's difficult to know what to say without sounding either patronising or racist. (Or both!)

    no family time.......poor you!
when you chose to ahve kids you also choose to provide for them.
it'd be lovely to work the hours you choose and still have enough money for everything you want.
but life isnt like that and the sooner people realise that, the better!
'oh i dont have the money to have a baby, but never mind the tax payer will take up the slack'
    hopefully those days are over!

In this case "assume" has made an !!! of you. I didn't ask for, nor did I receive any state help. I didn't post the comment to garner any sympathy for me. It's long since in the past.

I'm not sure how the taxpayer is involved, but if you like to use your prejudices to make incorrect judgements, you're a little bit too quick to judge and little too slow to think.

Hopefully you'll think before you read words that only exisst in your head.

My nan had 7 children on one wage, they just made do with necessities. Do you really need to work or are you just working to provide thing you could do without.
  • He can't cope for a couple of hours with his own children? How is this going to make childminding a viable career for you.

'Hi, yes, I'd love to have little Amy. But you must pick her up by 6.05pm or my husband will be in and he'll be threatening divorce if your offspring is here when he wants to vegetate in front of the TV'
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

You're not seriously suggesting that only rich people should be allowed to have children are you?

Only people that can financially support them should.

Yes and that was why it was unfair - why should stay at home parents be penalised for not earning
And why should the state support them because they CHOSE to be Stay at home parents.

Someone earlier was bang on when they said people make choices and the taxpayer 'picks up the slack'.
