There are a lot of people who seem to be very fond of going on about what they are 'entitled' to, or saying that money should be spent on this that or the other, without any thought as to where that money is going to come from.
The majority of the population seems to be oblivious to that fact that the country needs to manage its budget in fundamentally the same way as an indivudual household does.
People may say they weren't asked about it or didn't sign up to anything, but it's more that likely that the will have taken advantage of the NHS, the education system etc, and wil lexpect child benefit, a state retirement pension etc...
If you don't agree with the way the country is being run or your taxes are being spent then do something about it.
Good post!
The only part that i don't agree with though, is running a country budget similarly to a household one.
In a household, you know to a certain extent the amount of people the finite income will need to cover.
A country budget has too many outside influences (EU subsidies/immigration/emergency funding/wars) to contend with, and never knowing when this extra needs to be spent.0 -

If spouting this tripe is an attempt to demonstrate articulate communication, you have failed (again).0 -
Oh so you've dipped out (parus major is the latin name for a Great Tit)
Obviously we've not had any twitchers in today!0 -
OMG!_pale_ I've just had a terrible thought........
If we miss a payment on this Nation's Credit Card, will they phone us all, three times every hour chasing their money?
Should I write a letter telling them to only contact me by post?
........runs off to find the link for said letter.....0 -
Alas not.
Everyone benefited - even if indirectly - during the economic boom times.0 -

Perhaps you were busy on one of your flowery diatribes at the time...!!0 -
What was i saying about uneducated people should not be allowed to vote?
From your obvious sparkling intellect and vocabulary, it is clear you fit into that category.
I would rather be a well off 'tit', than a stupid poor person suchas yourself.
Hmm, I'm not quite sure where voting came into it, but there we go, if it makes you happy to talk about it then you crack on, no problem.
And if you think that I believe that you eventuate decuman as far as your bank account goes (that means, have a lot of money, since I doubt you'd understand me otherwise) then think again. Anyone with any real sums of cash doesn't boast about it on a faceless internet forum.0 -
