I love this thread - it's a real boost on grey gloomy days - like today.

I'm also decluttering and deep-cleaning - slowly but gently and gradually getting there. So far have blitzed the garage and taken a load to the tip, had a quick tidy in the garden, and am working my way through wardrobes, cupboards. Several bags gone to CS shop.

Have just cleaned my inside windows. Deep cleaned the kitchen, DS1 has just moved into a flat and I will be sorting through kitchen stuff at the weekend for him. The rest is destined for car boots.

Hoping to start decorating soon - just a lick of paint to freshen up and a few new accessories (CS bargains of course!!!).

Want to get everything done in time to enjoy the warm weather when it comes.

Keep up the good work everyone.

It's a beautiful morning here - opened some windows again to blow the cobwebs away. I know it's cold but it so nice to see the sun again after the last few days of grey and gloom.

Well I actually got my bedding on the line today, it was very cold but a lovely drying wind, also done lot other outside jobs, but then ive got outside work everyday but I love outdoors.......................

Eh you lot what are you doing spring cleaning and painting rooms etc this time of the year?????????? I do my painting in the winter months when you cant get outside, and now spring is so close I can be out quite a lot......I usually clean the house everyday so I dont get behind with housework............

Id rather be out than in,all you need is a good coat and away you go.....Oh I did buy some primroses today, dont they remind you of spring..........and the smell take me back to childhood...uhmmm:D

I raked up all the leaves on my front lawn in order to let the Snowdrop shoots peep through. I emptied a dead pot plant into the Garden Bin and planted some violas I bought in November that have been sitting on the back step since then. Ran out of compost but Dad has some left so will ask him for some tommorow. He has dementia so my Aunt and I did his and Mums pots last year. Watered all my pots outside and in.
A bit sad as I am having to put house up for sale as OH and I are seperated so need to split things now. So this will b e my last year of snowdrops that belonged to OH'S grandparents who lived here before us ( 26 years ago) However I am going to dig up some of the snowdrops when they go over to put in my sisters and parents gardens.
Dried 2 loads of washing too.

Ive too been outside again today ,but it was very cold........Ive been doing some extras to the wildlife section im doing.....I dug trench 8 inches deep and 6 foot long to put some nice cut branches in along a path way. I mixed myself some cement up in the barrow, I did my own mix 3 small shovels cement to 5 of sand and added water , Ive got bad habit of doing most things by my own maths.....:eek:I put cement in the bottom of the trench then stood the branches up there about 5 foot tall and then cemented all round them and put some broken brick rubble in.........

Left it to set, went outside this morning and thank god its all set solid and upright, the only reason I cemented them in is so that the grandchildren dont knock them all over when they are running about the garden like boys do........

So im well pleased with myself for getting that job done.....Checked the fishpond as yet no frogspawn but it shouldnt be too long now ............

Loads of red buds forming on the rose bushes, also lilac bush as buds too.:D.................

done my Garden Bird Watch survey , which they ask us to do every January for the RSPB................anyone else done that over the weekend.???.

Lots of birds feeding again today, mind you this weather make anyone hungry........

After spending 5 hours outside I then took dogs to beach for a very cold walk, that finished me off.............now waiting for countryfile to come on then me thinks I will be snoring quite early tonight................:D
