I had my address in there - which has now disappeared. No way am I putting my NI number in there, there's no reason whatsoever for them to have it.

I put in n/a and filled in my address again - but it still asks for the same information - I think I might do whatever I can to get it to work, get all the money out and leave the site well alone - the NI bit has made me think it might be dodgy - I'd rather leave well alone and go to the survey sites themselves, rather than via Vivatic.

(unless someone can think of a good reason NI numbers are needed by them - there just isn't one!)

Also, I don't think they've ever had any jobs there - despite their claims. If you do a google search, nobody ever seems to have been able to do the written test (not the most tried and tested way, but a good indication !)
  • just a quick update my profile details are now saving but i still cant request payment has anyone else noticed this? chris

    Yes, same here.

lets hope this isa good sign :T chris
  • I have done about three surveys for Web Sourcing (thru Vivatic) and I haven't been creditted. The New Vista and Populus ones credit immediately.

I'm new to Vivatic and I am wondering if any of the more experienced members have ever had this problem?

I've managed to get payment sorted.

In the NI box I put - You have no need for this I am self employed!

When it came to payment I had to tick a box that said something about all earnings from this were on a self employed basis and that I was aware that they had to be accounted for to HMRC etc.

Quite happy to do this, I declare all my earnings anyway. :D

    Dear Member,

Thanks for your continuing support of Vivatic.

Many thanks for pointing out an issue the Vivatic system had over the weekend. We updated our content management system to the latest version and unfortunately that had an impact on your profile pages. All your data was safely stored but it wasn’t showing correctly. We fixed this early yesterday and your profiles should be showing correctly

In addition, many of you asked why we are now asking for National Insurance/Social Security (NI/SS) numbers. We engage each of our members on a freelance basis and you are responsible for paying taxes on any monies earned in the correct country or jurisdiction. To aid in reporting to Majesty’s Revenue and Customs (MHRC) that our freelancers are tax registered we now ask each to enter their NI/SS number. This data is stored securely and will never be shared unless in the unlikely event a tax office requests it.

    Regards,

    Vivatic
  • I just got this reply from them re NI numbers

I've had the same email now as well, although payment seems to have gone through from what I did earlier.

I won't be giving them my NI number, I'm happy for them to have my name, address, phone number etc for if HMRC contact them, but I'm a worried about giving my NI number on line. Unsure whether or not I should be, don't know if they could do anything with it, but still.

I trust them to pay me after I've completed the surveys, they'll just have to trust that I'm going to declare my earnings.
