Couple of questions about my dog..

  • Update:

    The bags are BRILLIANT!!!!

Went out for walk today - he went in the river and then ran through a mud bath, he was soaked and filthy when we got home!

The hose pipe was frozen, so I couldnt even wash him down, but I put him inside his bag and carried him to his cage, left him in there for an hour (he had a lovely snooze) - when he woke up I rubbed him in the bag then took it off, he emerged all sparkly clean! the bag was full of dried mud and hair, which I shook outside then washed!

SoI HIGHLY recomend it for mad wet dogs like mine!!
  • Just realised that looks a bit weird !! putting him in a bag then in a cage! he was quite happy I promise!

I appreciate that but if there is a way of preventing it then I will do it.

You can still be houseproud and have a dog :)
No you can't. Not unless it's in your dreams

Why do some people have to spoil threads. Just because you have a dog/s doesn't mean that you have to live in a pigsty or be happy if your furniture gets wet. When our dog/foster dogs get wet after a walk or trot in the garden I always towel them and use a hair dryer as much as possible, put them in their crate and cover with a large towel because the towel gets most of the water when the dogs shake. I may get one of those wet bags, can they walk in them? :D

LOL I thought of putting some leg holes in one!

I agree - I know plenty of people who still have lovely homes and have a dog, including myself. I also know plenty of people whos houses smell like battersea dogs home on a wet weekend, but I will never ever be one of those people!

I do not see why I should allow the dog to trail mud and hair all over the house - the kids dont do that so why should he?

My dog is only allowed in the hard floor areas of the house - he doesnt go upstairs or in the front room - he knows where he is allowed to go and is perfectly happy.

AGain though - the bags are great! I might get some for the kids as wel!!:D

I wouldn't worry about it, you will always get criticism no matter what the subject especially on forums, it's human nature i'm afraid :D

Dont worry I dont see it as a critisism, just someone who obviously has a mucky house and likes to have an excuse!

It's not an excuse. When you have a dog you have dog hair in the house. You can chase round forever removing it, but there will always be dog hair.

Speak for yourself. My house doesnt have dog hair all over it!

Dont worry, I dont mind how dirty your house is.:)
