    Hi DF,

I'm good thanks, how are you?

Payday tomorrow - or midnight tonight - woopwoop. The total payments I will be making after payday will be £882.34 and of that amount £195.75 will be towards interest. Therefore a whopping £686.59 off my total taking me to £24,686 :T

That will leave me with £190.00 to myself as bills, food etc are all paid through joint account. However I have about £50.00 of that to go on diesel, £50.00 car tax, my friends birthday I'm estimating about £40.00 and the DENTIST - argh! approx £30.00 so that leaves me with £20.00 to play with. I'm determined to make that last me for the month and will pick up extra work if I need it rather than use any more of my overdraft!

Bring on next months payday!! :rotfl:

  • Morning!!!!

Just popped over from mine to catch up with yours as have been snowed under with work yesterday.

How nice of an incentive is it to know people are waiting to read your diary so you want to get on and update it :)

Pay day's been then for you yey!!!! Did everything go as expected? I am so jealous of your low interest amount - mine's on sig - paid fortune, cleared next to nothing. HATE spending so much to thin air each month.

Could you reduce your payment to your mate's birthday gift any without seeming to? Even an extra tennar to debt if you wanted to? I am trying to do that for everything lol. Becoming an addiction.

Sub 25k - wow!!! Well done you xx

  • I think I am obsessed with this site now :rotfl:I check it first thing in the morning, then maybe a wee peek before lunch, then write out my diary at lunch, check it again in the afternoon and then AGAIN in the evenings!!! Oh my!!

DF - as you say its a great incentive knowing people are reading it and it just makes me want to keep updating and be good with my money as i hate the thought of coming on and saying i spent money I didnt have!

Yep payday has come and gone so I'm now counting down the days until Febs payday and I can get my OH fully paid off. That would mean I just have 2 Loans, 1 CC, wee bit in my overdraft and also next if I dont manage to pay it off before payday - which I now very much doubt considering I have £20 to spare :o

Well I have managed another day , yesterday, without spending a penny and today I have managed so far. Just had my homemade lunch, soup and sandwich and it was just delicious......

Pounds maybe falling off my debt total but unfortunately not my weight  to be honest I only have myself to blame - have been munching at the biscuits at work!! They keep bringing in baking etc which is sooooo hard to resist.

I am really lucky I have such low interest. My first loan was taken out a couple of years ago when the banks were throwing money at everyone and I'm sure the rate is 7.9%. As for my credit card - I'm paying approx £50 per month interest. I had transferred a balnce over to barclaycard about a year ago and it was 5% for the life of the balance - I stupidly withdrew cash from credit card when i was desperate so the majority of the interest is because of that.

Yeah my friends birthday...... the problem is that we have decided to not buy each other anything but to have a night out instead. So I'm guessing about £15 for a meal and then £5 on taxis and £20 on drink! if I can cut that £20 down it will be fantastic. I dont drink a lot but will propbably end up in the kitty. I'm planning making some vodka jellies, with leftover vodka in the cupboards, for before going out and then hopefully I wont have as much when I am out!

  • So, thats another weekend passed! Why does time move so quickly. Its Friday night then Monday morning before you know it:(

Had a great weekend. Was away playing in a sports tourney on sat and then had a night out on sat night. Managed to get away with spending £33.00 which was £7.00 less than expected :T

I have also ordered my car tax online (£49.50) but unfortunately I was a wee bitty late in doing this - I really need to be more organised - so it doesnt arrive until hopefully Wed maybe Thur which means I will have to cycle to work for a couple of days. Hope it isnt too cold:( However on the MSE side of things this will save me some fuel money.

I have the dreaded dentist appointment this month and have postponed it twice now so I'm wondering if I could maybe postpone it another week or so and that means I will have been paid and can use the £35 this month put aside for it to pay extra to my Next account. However am probably just delaying the inevitable for no need.

As long as you've ordered/paid for it online, then your tax is up to date and you can drive the car x
