Hugs for those who are poorly today

Just got back from the GP and he has diagnosed Labrynthitis which is just rubbish, feel really sick and dizzy and want to lean to the right hand side. I'm sure people thought I was drunk walking back from the docs this morning:rotfl: anyway back next Monday for some kind of manipulation with my head and neck to try and sort my balance out.

Just spent the rest of the morning bringing DH accounts up to date.

DS3 has a History exam this afternoon so will be anxious until he gets home

The sun is out here hurray:j

Busy evening Mondays with WW for me and cadets for DS3 so quick tea.

Just to change the subject a little how gorgeous is Colin Firth. He can polish my Golden Globe anytime:o:rotfl:

PP - hugs coming to you - hope you're starting to feel a wee bit better as the day goes on.

This working full time thing is a real drain! Started this morning and had packed lunches made, cereal in bowls and childrens uniform sorted by the time I woke OH!! Then it was picking up our trainee! (He's free for a month!). Got one load of washing out and another into the WM. Told OH (he's at home with the kids now!) to put clothes into the dryer (building work still continuing!) except for the jeans. Dinner tonight will be chilli & rice (got out of the freezer on Thursday and has been in the fridge.

Need to get sorted otherwise it will all come crashing down!!
Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx

March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.

Happy Birthday Beemuzed - a nice big birthday :bdaycake: for you to have a slice of, and a glass or 2 of . You have done such a lot for your DS, I hope today is extra special for you.
Pen-Pin - glad that the nurse works magic, sorry that the magic is needed. Your new haircut sounds fab!
Been out to B&Q and got kitchen units for the base of kitchen - 60% off so that's good. We got our top ones nearly a yr ago and got the same deal on them. We were going to leave the kitchen as it was as the bottom ones aren't too dissimilar but have gone for the total look. Getting a new sink and worktop when this lot are in and then i'll be flyladying with my shiny sink:D. I've tried all sorts on this one but it was in quite a state when we moved in so I've done well to put up with it for a year!
Went to the tip with the old carpet from hallway, also underlay + new carpet off-cuts, keeping only a couple of bigger bits. Such a good feeling to get a boot load of junk out of here! We have a big loft but we're determined it isn't going to get cluttered like the last one.
felt like stopping at McD for a quick lunch but came home and had cheese and ham toasties.
Tea is of the unhealthy variety tonight - steak and gravy pies, mash and beans:D. Oh well, the beans are healthy!
Glorious day here - dogs been walked and we're off out with them again soon. Good to get a top up of winter sun.
    Have a good day folks

    afternoon all

have been lying low for a day or two as i've been a right grumpy mare. there may be light at the end of the tunnel yet :o

havent felt up to much so alan has been doing all the cooking and cleaning :o but bit more on form today.

made some playdough to occupy ds. he had a sickness bug from the early hrs this morning but is right as rain now. keeps asking for 'ninner' so obviously hungry.

found some condensed milk in the cupboard and trying to find something to make with it. bannoffee pie is sounding good but need to get some cream and biscuits for that.

other than that, chicken caesar salad for tea tonight.

  • Evening all

    beemuzed
    - happy bithday, have a fab day :)
PP - glad you are feeling better
    ally - welcome!

Bit of a weird day in work, the husband of one of our colleagues in a sister office passed away on the weekend and we all found out today :(. He had cancer but had a misdiagnosis earlier this year so when they found out it was too late to do anything :(. I had never met him, but my colleague is a lovely woman. The funeral is Sat so I can't go as I'm with you lot at the meet, but kinda glad as I don't particularly want to go IYKWIM.

I spent today clearing out our stationary cave (yes I do mean cave!). It's a small room, that slopes at the end so I can't stand up there! It is all in order now :) and it's the last proper room to be sorted in the whole place!!

I finished work a bit early as the plumber was coming over. There is a leak behind my shower so he came to look at it. He is coming back on Fri to fix it.

OS wise - DW went on today and has been emptied. Not sure what to have for dinner yet.

I can't decide whether to pop to the shops. I want the new Slimming World magazine - I lost 2lbs this week :D - and am almost out of cheese. But I don't want to spend any money :rotfl:I have £15 left in my food budget for this month (and my month ends on 20th) so kinda don't want to spend it so I can save it instead!

    Have a good evening all

Fairylittle..... Last time I felt like that I was pregnant! Last 3 times in fact! Just a thought.
