Good morning and best wishes to all.

A grey day here in the midlands, not raining yet but trying its hardest to I think. Another work day until 6.30 for me, already started off bad as just heard of a colleague of mine who has to have his foot amputated at age 22, all through flaming work and doing his best for his country! Life just isn't right at all sometimes is it?

Well, kids gone to school, managed to get them to do their own packups last night which was a surprise. Used up beans, that had been left in the fridge for nearly a week by eldest DD, on toast for breakfast, brought in yoghurt and cup a soup for lunch. Am determind to cook myself an actual meal tonight instead of just having toast, I really need to lose weight and become more os, so will be looking in the freezer to see what is available. Trouble is I don't feel like cooking at 7 at night just for one but must make an effort. Took a 4 litre bottle of milk out of the freezer this morning and put it in the fridge to defrost. This is the first time I've ever frozen milk, didnt know you could until I saw it on here. I hope it doesn't explode!

Spent an hr last night putting an exercise bike together to do the planned new year resolution to exercise more. This morning, dressing gown found its way hanging to the bars somehow. Bit of dejavue there, that happened to the cross trainer I had last year and the stepper thingy before that. Personally I think they are just clothes hangers in disguise.:rotfl:

Going to check banking online, sort numerous bills accounts out today again and maybe do a little work if needed.

Would someone mind defining exactly what is os as I want to become more aware of this.

Cheers, have a good day everyone.

Welcome ally , sorry to hear about your collegue :( x

I always freeze my milk, but it does take a while to defrost (like on the drainer overnight ):o.

If you cooked a meal would the kids not eat it...giving you more reason to cook a proper meal or even better get them to cook it :D

    Morning all!

Hugs PP and anyone else who needs one.
Sort of bitty, busy day here. Dh off. Always a lot more disaorganised when he's home for some reason.
Trying to find out if I can get on a return to nursing course. Quite happy being a SAHM, but dh contract ends in June, so you never know!
Going to order new bedroom carpets today, so need to sort out both girls' cupboards/ wardrobes and bag stuff up for car boot/ freecycle so there is less to move out of the way.
Pouring here as well. DD2 quite happy as she will be able to puddle-jump to nursery in her new wellies.:D
Not a clue what to cook today, but I have full cupboards and freezers. MUST get a meal plan done.
Oh, been doing PMcK again. So happy when I don't graze all day, and feel so much better for it. The weight just comes off so easily. Just need to stick to it!!!! Been at it for a week now. Feeling the difference in my clothes already.:T
Father Ted: Now concentrate this time, Dougal. These
(he points to some plastic cows on the table) are very small; those (pointing at some cows out of the window) are far away...
    :D:D:D
  • Thanks for all the lovely messages and Jackie0...thanks for the website details.

  • Good morning peeps!
Haven't posted for a while - but getting back into a routine of OS ness now :)
Let me start off by saying 'Happy Birthday!' to Beemuzed  Hope you have a good 'un.
It's looks like it's been fairly quiet on the board in the last hour - everyone must be full of busy.
The usual manic Monday for me, Packed lunch for OH, walk dog, breakfast of Special K for me, work, walk dog again, freezer surprise for lunch. Roast turkey crown and all the trimmings for tea. Turkey kindly donated to me by my Mam, on the condition that she gets a plate of roast dinner out of it tonight. Sounds fair enough to me! :T Prepped all the veggies last night, so am fairly organised for once. Turkey cooking in the slow cooker as we speak(was a job getting it in there - & mines a 6.5 ltr!). Anyway better get back to it.
Have a great day everyone. ((((Hugs)))) if you need/want one.
    Bye.

    Hi bargainbird,

Thanks for your welcome. My kids eat at their dads before I pick them up so just me to eat.

I cooked a roast yesterday though and of course eldest had to have something different anyway

Being awkward comes as standard packaging with my eldest!
