  • Sorry for no updates for a long while had the flu and felt like well rubbish doesn't quite decribe it. I have finally got a bit better but in the meantime I have lost my job and found another one. Not quite everyones cup of tea but I have started as a chat line operator today. It suits me and to be fair i have some ok calls today one guy just chatted for 20 minutes about his life in general which I found weird. It works out at 11p per minute so an ok income for when dd is at school.

My man is still with me and so far not had the guts to tell him what i am now doing but will if we get a bit more serious. He is a lovely guy and has been popping in to look after me in my days of flu. Life is good.

Please don't have a go if you don't like my choice of job.

  • Hi nikki,
I was thinking about you the other day and was wandering where you were? You don't need to apologise to anyone for making a living. It is your life and nobody elses business, to be perfectly frank. There is someone else on here who does it as well to make extra cash.
Sorry about you being poorly but glad you are OK. Keeep your chin up and keep posting.

Glad you're feeling better, Nicki. You do whatever is right for you to earn a living. There's a thread about this type of work on the Up Your Income board, so you are not alone.

I'd love to be a good example - instead, I am a horrible warning.

  • it's really not that bad I took a few calls today and to be honest was so much easier than expected. Not sure if I should tell my man or not what I am doing I still have the work at the school so that's Ok as the weather has been bad so they weren't expecting me for gardening in yet anyway.

  • Only tell him when you are sure. You can't take it back remember, so it is best to wait until the time is right - if and when. The job may not last - let's hope he does...

    Hugs

  • well been very busy with my new job and its fun I have to say had a laugh with some of the guys, and thankfully its not all sex talk lol. I am earning enough now to come off benefits so all good and dd isn't effected as work when she is at school and seem to wind down when walking to pick her up. so all good at the moment. The man hasn't lasted his dad died and he ha had issues and told me to not contact him but I will see how it goes. he might call me when he has sorted out his head. Not much other news really so on with the calls
