  • Oh Nikki, how lovely for you to have some good news after such a terrible time. You are lucky to have your 'nice' brother around, he really does sound like a saint :A

I don't have much knowledge of bi-polar, except that it can be made so much more difficult for sufferers by stressful situations but it sounds like you can now put the past behind you and move forward with your DD, heads held high.

You have been through such a lot, you should be proud of yourself for getting through it all. I'm sure that repaying debts will be a walk in the park after the last 2 1/2 years suffering.

Enjoy your new cooker & your carpets, and most of all DD's smile. I really am so pleased that things are looking up for you both

    HI Nikki

Gosh you have certainly had a hard time but it looks like there is light at the end of the tunnel for you. I like the saying 'what doesnt break you makes you stronger!' and you are still going so you must be tough hunny. I know its also really hard to hold life together when you have a little one and to try make life as normal as possible when it feels anything but.

All the best for 2011. x

    nikki,

For what is worth I think it is absolutely right that you spend at the moment on what I consider essentials, a cooker, carpets, wallpaper and a bed certainly fall into that category. You will get the feel good factor as well which is so important when you are prone to depression.
You sound so upbeat, it is brilliant. Let's hope that the good fortunes go on and on and on... You both deserve it.
    Hugs

I have decided to try and get a more structured day as my councillor tells me that's what I need so I am going to do the following tomorrow:
    • [STRIKE]Put both loads of washing out on the line (Weather permitting)[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean the bathroom[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Weed the rest of my flower border[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Take dd to the park for a hour and have some FUNNNNN[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Bake my banana loaf[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Make two apple crumbles - one for tomorrow - one to freeze[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Hoover the house[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Organise the kitchen cupboards[/STRIKE]
    • [STRIKE]Clean kitchen[/STRIKE]
Well that's a big list but I want to start being busy and I know dd will love to dig and get dirty so that won't take long, and she loves to bake (well lick out the bowl after):rotfl:not sure that counts though.

  • Nikki - would you do something for me? Go back and read your first post on this thread, then immediately read the last few above here from you - the contrast is just astonishing - you've gone from the depths of despair to finding that elusive light at the end of the tunnel, which is now switched on and burning brightly. Well done to you for that. Well done also for being brave enough to share your story, and for the way you've fought through to make sure your DD is provided for - she must be so proud of her Mum!
