We don't! Or the truer answer is probably an awful lot of skimming goes on. No one expects you to keep up and neither will anyone think you rude if you post and run.
I skim....often!I rarely have the chance to sit down and read the whole thread....unfortunately.
I try to make a point of catching up once a week, but it doesnt always work out like that. No, it is the first.. he laid on my hand and wrist getting into bed in almost total darkness and without his glasses so he could see about as much a a mole with a bag on its head.. Had it been intentional he would be dead.. stone cold dead... He is a clumsy womble so any injury caused by him is purely accidental.. unless I say otherwise.. look on the bright side.. it wasn't him dropped the loft hatch on my collar bone which I still swear was broken. Besides my left wrist especially is highly tempramental so sometimes is ok and others goes off at nothing.
I shall remember to note 'unintentional' in future.. apologies:o
I thought as much! (about the stone cold dead part) which is why I had thought it couldnt have meant 'other half'.... surely you would have been on here reporting you need volunteers to help dig up the patio! Bless him! BF is also half-blind with no specks and Ive caught a few bumps/elbows in the dark as he has been lifting duvet covers, getting comfy etc... but im not as fragile as you pet.... Poor OH, I bet he felt right guilty after!bella121984 wrote: »Does anyone have any ideas how to get felt tip off painted door frames?! I thought hot soapy water would do it but clearly not...
Hi Bella - you may have had the answer to this from another flylady, but if its gloss - use hairspray. Just spray it on, the alcohol helps break down the felt pen and simply wipe off. Wash off with a wet cloth afterward to remove any alcohol etc.
HTH.

DH and I have been doing a long hard look at our finances, and they don;t look too bad :T I'm still likely to lose my job sometime this yearand we have other plans, which we need to keep money aside for
I'm going to start on tomorrow's supper, as I'm on a training course *yawn smilie* then need to shop for the inlaws' visit and my weekend supper party :T:rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
Ha! That'll teach me! Looked at today's list and thought I'd whizz through it. Didn't bank on quite how filthy the front door was - I thought having to scrub it was a bizarre notion as it's never even entered my head to try to clean it before. In hindsight, big mistake...
Level One - Done!:j
Level Two
Dust and deweb.. don't forget lightbulbs and shades! - Done!
Scrub front door.. inside and out! - First layer of filth removed but will need to be revisited, several times by the look of it.
Also...
Wiped down all paintwork
Mucked out fridge which I really wanted to do yesterday :j
DH has promised to do Level 1 of whatever tomorrow's list is as there's no chance of me getting anything done tomorrow. So, I'll be back on Thursday. Have a good night everyone and a great day flying tomorrow...0 -
I have been to LBT tonight at my local gym,I have never ever gone and done anything like that .I couldnt keep up , there is alot more of me than before, hoever, I was there, my tummy, jiggling though it is , was a bit nervous and for a while I felt like I was a kid again at school, you knwo, dumoy and shy, but I stayed, done my own thing when I couldnt keep up, and felt great after, will def go back, I will get to it. on the home front, me and my complicated OH realtionship has been under scrutiny, it is mostly my fault, i am bitter and twisted from the past.i admire people who can get on.
Dailies for me now,
1. Out of bed, 2 hours before work, (past ....... 35mins !!)
2.open bedroom windows and through back quilt
3. before leaving for work, breakfast dish washed up and tops wiped down
4.clothes laid out the night before.
5. work bag packed night before.
6. front room staightened up, so that its nice when I get home( I leave the room tidying before I go to bed just where I have used it before work )
7. keeping up with my 10 items of ironing a day until mountain is conquered !!
I hope that everyone is okay.i have sent of my proposals to my creditors after taking back my debts fromDMP.waiting to hear if what I propose is okay, will let you know.I have found a great online only sim card deal, so have a bit more cash.Xmum "e" to the most perfect girl :Awho stood by me through it all nana to my beautiful grandson WLM 27.09.13:j

Turning a house into a home
What if the Hokey Cokey is really what it's all about ?0 -
Key questions
Is there loads of stuff in there that should be somewhere else?
Is there stuff just plied up because it belongs in that room, but you've nothing to store it in?
Is there just piles of junk that you can't face?
Or is it just dingy and dirty? (You don't have to own up to that one!!)
Or need redecorating?
Some solutions
1. Put on loud lively music and grab a dustbin bag, and rush round for five minutes gathering up all the carp and bin it.
2. Start on one corner, or one shelf or one chair, and clean it thoroughly. Keep that spot clear, and then do another one next to it. This is AnW's mum's patented dot-to-dot method. Eventually all the dots will join up into a clear space.
3. Every time you go out of the room, remove something that doesn't belong there, and relocate it.
4. Decide what storage you need in that room, and see if you can get hold of it - fom another room, from family, from freecycle etc
5. Every time that room comes up on the list, do what you can, and then leave it for that week. the bits will add up to a transformation in the end.
6. Make a mood board of cuttings etc of pictures of how you'd like the room to be - then take baby steps to getting it that way.
...and if you think my house is perfect, then you'll be very mistaken. I'm here because I need to be here.:D
Love this! thank you :TLooking for the perfect home and saving to make becoming a MFW easier

Triker - thanks for the heads up about Boots - going there as soon as kiddies dropped off at school.
Serena and Lamewolf - huge hugs
Flying - not alot - seem to have lost my get up and go at the moment, all my good intentions for the new year have obviously had to go out the window at the moment but come Monday I'm determined to get back to where I was before Dad went into hospital, providing nothing else happens. Dad wasn't too good again today but we think he is just very tired at the moment so here's hoping for a better day tomorrow.
Love and hugs to all

Tomorrow weigh in time not the best thing after party food. Also taking DS1 to hospital appointment, swimming lesson & then off to ballroom lesson for me. Not sure when to fit in cleaning.:o0 -
