Still feeling rough today,my neck is killing me so not made it into work. Am going to doctors in 2 hours hoping to get some decent painkillers and think will go into work afterwards as don't get sick pay but will see what doctor says. I hate being off sick as I get really stressed I will get in trouble although not had any time off for being ill since beginning December last year when I had a really bad sinus infection.

  • Hope you soon feel much better. Don't stress about being off work - if you really are ill you can't get into trouble for it.

Went to docs and just got told to rub deep heat in and use Ibuprofen so that was a waste of time!

Went into work at 1pm though until 6pm. On course to smash our labour plan this month so fingers crossed bonus might be £400 in Mays paypacket.

Looks like car repairs are gonna cost £250 but my Nan is gonna lend me money to do it. Want it fixed ASAP as I need to keep practising as only 7ish weeks until driving test (unless it moves, depends on my nerves etc).

Boss told me hes not docked my wages though for only working 18hours in last few days (should be 24) and I can still claim my overtime so nice!!! :T

Hope you feel better soon! Doctors can be a bit useless.

That is nice of your Nan to lend you the money and nice of your boss not to dock the wages :-)

Didn't realise it had been quite so long since my last entry!

Am off work now until Friday, got to go in on the royal wedding as my new job means I can't miss our month end, bit sucky as when I booked it off it meant I had 11 straight days off by only using 3 days holiday, now I have 7 off, 1 in *though should only be in for 6 hours* and then another 3 off!

Been trying to drive a lot these last few days, managed to drive me and Simon to Milton Keynes two days in a row to go to the cinema, quite an achievement as its full of roundabouts *which are a worry of mine* and drove round Bedford today, its far from perfect and yesterday I actually got really scared and had to stop for a while and I make a good few mistakes still hopefully its all helping my confidence as driving test is in 6 weeks.....:o My driving instructor is happier with me now too though, she was a bit worried we might have to move the test as my lesson after it was appalling, though I do still have mock tests to do.....

Actually bought some Bach Herbal Remedies for confidence boosting and some rescue remedy too.

I really want to pass this time though as its horrid out here without a car, I am stuck here tomorrow as no plans or people to see and Simon is back at work tomorrow.

Payday Thursday, I have £471 to pay off on normal credit card and its not looking like I am going to clear the 0% one by September. I am not on the electoral register here yet, need to get on it as no chance of getting any credit at the moment.

I am only paying Simon £314 this month and next for bills as that means his half of the holiday is all paid for then so time to do some debt busting.

Car repairs ended up costing £320 to repair, of which I owe my nan £150 too.....

  • Lovely to hear from you! Glad the driving is going well and your getting lots of practice in.

Years ago when I was having lessons I used to really struggle at roundabouts. By the time I realised I could go the gap had gone and I was still sat there like a lemon :o

My driving instructor (who was a batty old lady who must have been at least 70, about 5' tall and had to sit on a cushion ad who used to sing the whole time - how did I ever pass??!!!!) told me one day not to look at the lane to your right, look at the next one after that to your right. It worked for me (and I hope to God that hasn't just confused you more than ever) as it helped me figure when the gap was coming and I was ready for it.

I've read that back and I'm not sure it makes any sense but I know what I mean - feel free to totally ignore me!!! :rotfl::rotfl:

Bad luck about Friday, I'm working too. Hopefully the rest of your time off will be lovely!

Got a day at home today as Simon is back at work.

    Its payday tomorrow wooohooo!

Its already sitting there waiting to go in which means I have £1473 this month as had £74 left in the bank *though thats only because my friend paid me back the £100 she owed me from booking gig tickets in November!*

    So time to budget......

£314 to Simon for bills (cut down due to holiday money he owes me)
    £13.38 for Cat Insurance
    £32.65 for Gym
    £45.74 for O2
    £5 Charity
    £100 Savings

So thats £510.77 I have to pay out but also need minimum of £176 for driving lessons. So thats £786.77 gone.....

And if I pay off the 19% credit card it leaves me with £314.....but I also need to pay something off the 0% card, so just paid £64 off that so thats now under £1500....

Which leaves me with £250 spending money for the month although am hoping my nan can let me pay her back the £150 I owe her next month as my next payday should be over £1500 and I will have a lot less debt to pay, can chuck a load at the 0% card next month and if I pass my driving test even more as that will be £200ish extra each month spare!

Daily budget will be £8.62 as payday is early next month so only 29 days to scrape through due to payday falling on a weekend so we get it early.

Just changed Spencers pet insurance for another year, did it via TCB with RSPCA so hopefully will get £20 cashback, its £1.06 cheaper per month than with PDSA who he is with now although both are under AXA anyway.....

PDSA didnt give me the cashback last year though even though it tracked.

Amazes me how each year I manage to find a cheaper quote for both the cats.

Felt like I could be doing more with my day but done all the washing up, washed a load and hung it on the line, and watched a lot of trash on telly!

Need to haul my bum upstairs to put away a load of clean laundry before Simon and the kids get here in a hour or so.

Am trying to think of ways to get back more into MSE.

I joined a site referred to me by Flyin Fresian called Swagbucks the other week which you can Amazon vouchers on, if anyone wants me to refer them *pretty please* PM me your email addy xxx

I just paid off my credit card and transferred money into Simons account for the bills, now my bank account looks a lot sadder :(

I was supposed to be meeting a friend today but shes had to cancel and now I am trying to decide whether to go into town or not, dont really wanna spend another day stuck in the house but town is quite a trek from here when I only really need a few bits...... another day where I wish I could drive in.

My MSE side is telling me not to go in and buy clothes though I do need a few bits, holiday bits will have to wait until next month.
