    Thanks for the replies.

The highest bidder has not yet paid for the item. (It ended today morning) How long should I wait in this case..??? and if NOT paid what to do next...???

And I don't have any other identical items.

You do need to be a little patient, it is not uncommon for someone to take a few days to pay. If you have sent an invoice leave it with that for two or three days. Then send another invoice and then after exactly 4 days has elapsed if you still haven't received payment you cna open an non paying bidder alert. If buyer still doesn't pay you can close that NPB after a further 4 days and get your FVFs back. At that point you can then offer it as a second chance offer if you wish.

I don't know why it is but some buyers do seem to wait to get an invoice, why they just can't do checkout I don't know. I've even been asked for an invoice which must have taken them longer than just clicking 'pay now'.

In that case I would give them about 3 days then before resending it, and then a further day or so before opening an NPB.

Now I got the the term "second chance offer".

4 /5 items which I sold earlier were all BIN so did not realised the term. As I can understand I will get this second chance offer message to all the multiple bid purchases, by default. And we have to ignore it unless the highest bidder NPB ;)

Thanks for all your help friends. :T:A

Just a tip - second chance offers tend to be only useful if you have multiple or one of a kind (OOAK) items.

If it's a relatively commonly available consumer durable item, then you would be better to relist the item, because quite often if someone is outbid or loses an item, they are more likely to go and bid on another one rather than wait to see whether the high bidder pulls out.

I have only accepted one "SCO" in my time, for a book on the Baltic States under Soviet rule, something that is rare to find in English (and I don't yet speak Latvian or Lithuanian - though I'm working on both languages) and was long out of print. More commonly there will be tons of other alternatives, so don't bank on SCOs to find you a sale.

However, the good news is that items that sell once and have to be re-listed usually sell again - the demand was there, it was just that the first winner couldn't or didn't complete and there is a good chance it will attract other interest when re-listed.

    Hi,

I have been learning selling on ebay for almost 4 months now. I have nearly 30 feedback. I had couple of questions if someone can help please?

    Thanks in advance.

    1) I had put one baby item for sale and its a big box and postage comes to appx £6. Now one member has dropped me a message that can he collect the item. Now I want to know what care I should take if the item is collected. I mean what proof I should get as the item delivered? and is it ok to give phone no. etc...

    2) Another thing is I have not recived any feedback for almost 5 to 6 items which were sold 1 or 2 months back. Currently I want to build some good feedback but don't know how to deal with such cases who don't leave feedback at all.

Sorry these might be basic questions but as quite new to ebay selling, bit confused.

    Any help gratefully received

    Hello again and welcome back.

    1) If someone wants to pay by paypal then don't let them collect as you cannot protect yourself against a paypal chargeback, believe it or not baby items are a highly scammed area. If they are happy to pay cash then just go ahead, you don't need any proof of delivery or receipt as paypal are not involved.

    2) Never ask buyers for feedback, you might not like what you get. Assuming you have already left it for them just move on and let it go.

Thank you.. Soolin....great help as always.

So in first case, I have already listed the item with postage £6. so should I sell the item out of ebay??? or should I change payment method?
Item will be ending in another half an hour.

    Sorry to be thick.
