Same story as many of you, my mum went to one and SIL to another, both decent size stores and both sold out by around midday! My mum was told they have been sold out all morning and only had a few in to start! The staff were fed up because it's not their fault and they are getting a lot of flack from irate customers shouting at them! My mum was given a number to complain to, so I will ring tomorrow. I know it's free but it's still wrong when the stores have little or no stock and are sold out by early morning. If it was evening I would understand but not before lunchtime, that's just silly! It's a bit of a con that the staff don't even seem to be aware of!!

Luckily I went to the store to check if they had any of this stuff in stock BEFORE buying the paper, as the offer is (you guessed it folks) not available in NI!!!

Just a tip-off to anyone here who is hoping to get this.

Look on the bright side. Saves me wasting 45p today on a paper that I don't read, and a daily trip to Superdrug all week anyway! It's close to work so I don't mind, but anyway.

Just another update. My sister went into our local at 12ish today and - yep- both items were out of stock. This is really lousy on Daily Mirror's part. This offer was even advertised on tv last night. Good marketing ploy though - I mean just think how many papers they have sold under false pretence and how much money they have made. Very naughty me thinks :money:

I work in Superdrug, and having just finished my shift can tell you it has been a right pain today!

I started at 9.30 and by then we had sold out of the 2in1 shampoo, we only had 4 in stock! Of the Alternative we had 7, they were gone just after 10.30.

It is crazy!

All I would ask is that you dont take it out on the store members or even management of the store as their hands are tied! We rung Store Support today, who told us that they would put something on the intranet, but I left at 1.30 (having rung at about 9.45) and nothing had been done about it!!

Got both Mine this Morning however arrived at 9.20 only could see 2 shampoos and 4 face cream, someone came in behind me with voucher so shampoos all gone by 9.20- pretty poor no stock left within 20 minutes of opening.
Im not bothered about tommorows offer but have to get in early for the rest of the week.

Why are people blaming the newspaper? Surely the only party at fault is Superdrug for not stocking up? Its not as if they didn't know this offer was happening!

What a pain for everyone who tried to save some pennies today.....:(

i had this too SA told me they were only given 16 units as they were a smaller store
