Besides you'd never be able to prove what speed I was doing even if it made a difference to your case.

Skid mark measured by accident investigation can tell your speed.

While it may be true that if you pull out on a speeding car and then claim it was speeding it is your fault (because you knew it was speeding before you pulled out), it is not true if the way was clear - you pulled out - and was then hit by a speeding car!

So the game to play here - If you're ever in the situation of pulling out on a car you suspect to have been speeding - is to never admit that you saw the car!

Not really pertinent to the OP's question however, and the OP seems to be getting a hard time with his legitimate question IMO

And get prosecuted for driving without due care & attention or defective eyesight?

I think the OP is getting truthful answers, People have read their post as..

"I am a bad driver and crashed into a parked car, But the parked car should not have parked there."

But it was there and PARKED and you hit it nobody else did.

    Great news folks!

Just spoke to my insurer who have advised me that I won't be liable for this because of where the other vehicle was parked (amongst other things lol)

Guess some of you aren't as smart or clued up as you might like to think.

    See ya!!!

Did they now? Do you happen to know which case law or statute they are intending to rely upon?

If they genuinely did state that, I would ask them to put it in writing pronto (I suspect that they will not, however).

I was responding to an earlier poster who claimed that the parked car would have some liability. This is not true and the example I gave was my evidence.
In my example, the car didn't deliberately pull out in front of speeding driver - it was a lack of observation. The speed is irrelevant.
Same applies to OP - lack of observation and driving without due car and attention.

OP is not getting a hard time. OP is getting the truth and posting lies in the form of claims that insurance company says they're not liable.....even before , it seems the other side has submitted their side of events.

PS not every crash has skid marks:beer:

As we now have learnt the OP is just a troll, he's been let off quite lightly!
