Brilliant, let's hope they make this a permanent arrangement, if not, you now know what to do. And sounds like you've got an actual person to deal with now, so lets hope that makes things run more smoothly!

  • Wrote to Lloyds due to my account apparently coming near to the end of it's agreed 6 month £200 reduced payment plan. I am dubious that it is about to end as they messed up setting it up. anyway, I wrote to them anyway.

Recieved a letter back asking me to complete an Income/Expenditure form as before AND to return my credit card. I cut the credit card up so don't have it! Says I have to reply within 14 days as after this they will have to take further action to recover the money.

There's then a strange section about a pro rata offer and how much I propose to pay. I presume I just fill it out with values as before?

Letter has to be returned to
    Department CDR
    Brighton
    BN1 1YY

If i can scan the letter and upload it I will.

  • Time for a further update. After thinking that things were 'sorted' after my last complaint. There's more problems.

I paid £200 on my reduced repayment plan with interest at 0.4%. I check this months bill and they have charged me £160 in interest and my minimum payment is now £270! They've not even written to me to explain why.

I have had no reply to my letter where I completed the Income and Expenditure. The original agreement that they messed up so much stated that "we will contact you in writing if we change this agreement at any time".

I've done everything I can to keep on top of this. Writing numerous letters. The situation has arisen again.

I decided to complain to Lloyds TSB yesterday. I have a specific contact at Lloyds TSB so have addressed it to him. They have ignored an offer of Full and Final settlement also. Complaining seems to be the only way to get anywhere with Lloyds TSB. Full and Final would sort out this mess once and for all I dont know why they are ignoring them.

  • Bloody muppets Lloyds collections are.
I asked for help they just refused so I stopped paying, now with Fredricksons who are accepting an affordable amount. Sure they are rude and nasty pieces of work but speak english and understand english swear words.
Strange really as when I was reclaiming ppi they were nice beyond belief although they were in Wales and was the complaints dept.
What happened when you just stopped paying?

I wrote to them too, asking if they could freeze the interest on my loan. My letter was full of information and they just replied with a short NO.
    I have now written again

They will be quick to send out threatening letters from my experiences. If you have other accounts with Lloyds TSB they just take the money from there.

Your best bet with them is to COMPLAIN formally as thats the only way you get a resolution. You might even be lucky enough for someone from the Uk to phone you!

  • If you are complaining and with collections write to:

    LTSB
    Customer Relations,
    City Park
    Three City Park
    The Droveway
    Hove
    BN3 7AU

You'll get a contact name from that too.

  • managed to get through on phone to someone in the UK on an 0845 Lloyds number.

Quite helpful actually. Its strange that they make it so difficult to speak to someone in the Uk regards Colelctions or the Financial Management Department.

    Anyway, I concluded the following:

    • My account is being put on 'hold' for 14 days while they look at my full and final offer and review the repayment plan.
    • They receive a lot of mail so apparently it can take longer than a month for them to reply.
    • She could not comment specifically but apparently the factos I have put into letter will be given careful consideration.
    • The Financial management Department do not speak to anyone on the phone!
    • Account may go to Consumer debt Recovery. Are they the in house collections?
I shall wait and see what comes back my way in the next week or so. Told them I have kept a copy of all letters. Told them I have a signiture for my letters. She's added notes to the account. I'm not too sure if this conversation will lead to a positive outcome but I'm determined to pressure them into sorting this out once and for all.

Thank you - I have done.

    Will see what happens now.

The two calls I had were from Indian Call Centres - and they never explained anything. Am I allowed to put that in my letter - or will that be seen as racism?
  • I'd just say that you find the information over the phone conflicts with what you receive in writing and you find it confusing what you are told. Say you will only deal with them in writing or something like that.

I wouldnt specifically mention an Indian call centre.
