I finally got a letter about an interview date for a proper job!!! Only trouble is, I now have to think up an excuse to get away from work that day. I've only been there 2 weeks so it's not like I have holidays built up - anyone got any ideas?Debt: Started at £4780, now at £4190

Most of my interviews have been one person for the first one, at least two for the second.
On a positive note heard from the agency today about the interview I went to. Sounds like they are going to offer me the job tomorrow, here is crossing my fingers!0 -

I've only been in my temp job for 4 weeks. Last week, at the end of the working day I picked up a voice mail message advising of an interview which was two days later! I went in to work the next day and said that a reminder came up on my phone telling me I had a hospital appointment the tomorrow.... I had to go because I've been due to see the consultant for quite some time.
It worked. no further questions asked.0 -
Well, I got a job offer via an agency. Went-down for an 'interview' (actually just got a tour of the factory). Been offered a start for next Tuesday, however, the one thing that stood-out was just how miserable everyone was. No radios on, no-one smiling. I know deep-down I will take the first job that comes-up if I go there.Never Knowingly Understood.

Congratulations!
I hope it was nothing more than a bad day and things will be different when you return on Tuesday.0 -
Patman,
A job is a job at the moment and they do say it's easier to find work while you're in work. Congratulations on the job offer.0 -

thats not been true for me despite me trying, trying and more trying for 2 years but hopefully i might hear something soon
I agree, i've been looking for eight months since being made redundant and it is soul destroying. I can't think what it's been like to have been in this situation for as long as you have.
I hope something comes up trumps for you soon. (Maybe then you won't still be awake at this time of night worrying about it, like me!)0 -
Thank crunchie its Friday...apart from the little issue of a job interview at 8.30am on sunday morning I think I am going to stay away from job hunting this weekend and relax (when I say relax I actually mean paint my kitchen ceiling!) and am sending positive vibes to all my fellow job hunters!
Try and have a good weekend everyone!JAN GC- £155.77 out of £200FEB GC £197.31 out of £180:o. MARCH GC - out of £200
