  • I finally got a letter about an interview date for a proper job!!! Only trouble is, I now have to think up an excuse to get away from work that day. I've only been there 2 weeks so it's not like I have holidays built up - anyone got any ideas?

    Sickie? Doctors? Dentist?
  • Most of my interviews have been one person for the first one, at least two for the second.

On a positive note heard from the agency today about the interview I went to. Sounds like they are going to offer me the job tomorrow, here is crossing my fingers!

I've only been in my temp job for 4 weeks. Last week, at the end of the working day I picked up a voice mail message advising of an interview which was two days later! I went in to work the next day and said that a reminder came up on my phone telling me I had a hospital appointment the tomorrow.... I had to go because I've been due to see the consultant for quite some time.

It worked. no further questions asked.

Well, I got a job offer via an agency. Went-down for an 'interview' (actually just got a tour of the factory). Been offered a start for next Tuesday, however, the one thing that stood-out was just how miserable everyone was. No radios on, no-one smiling. I know deep-down I will take the first job that comes-up if I go there.

    Congratulations!

I hope it was nothing more than a bad day and things will be different when you return on Tuesday.

    Patman,

A job is a job at the moment and they do say it's easier to find work while you're in work. Congratulations on the job offer.

I agree, i've been looking for eight months since being made redundant and it is soul destroying. I can't think what it's been like to have been in this situation for as long as you have.

I hope something comes up trumps for you soon. (Maybe then you won't still be awake at this time of night worrying about it, like me!)

Thank crunchie its Friday...apart from the little issue of a job interview at 8.30am on sunday morning I think I am going to stay away from job hunting this weekend and relax (when I say relax I actually mean paint my kitchen ceiling!) and am sending positive vibes to all my fellow job hunters!
Try and have a good weekend everyone!
