Just back from my interview, it went okay, few awkward silences which I hate, but I answered all the questions well. They sound like a really great company to work for but I aren't getting my hopes up at all, I've had interviews go better and not get the job. They said they will let me know next week.

I want to do one of these 'Thanks for interviewing me' emails, but haven't done it before, what should I say?

I've emailed them. I remembered they had said they were going to make decisions tonight so thought I better get in there before they had the chance. I just thanked them for their time and the opportunity, and said that I feel I could carry out the role successfully. Short and sweet.

Turns out I want the job a bit more than I thought I did. Must not get hopes up... must not get hopes up. :o

Has anyone else had interviews today? How did they go?

I sent a couple earlier which were my first ones, just said thanks for their time and confirmed that I do still want the role, wasn't sure what else to say!

Just had an agency phone me, looks like I have an interview tomorrow, ongoing temp role, better than nothing!

  • Hi, after 2 months of nothing - literally 1 rejection, i have 2 interviews!!!!!!! Really hope one of them comes through, will certainly try my best. Good luck to everyone else who's got interviews coming up.

Lexilex - Maybe something like thankyou for your time and consideration. I look forward to hearing from you soon. You could put in a few basic points as to why you should get it / how keen you are or possibly ask any questions or points you forgot to mention in your interview. Good luck i hope it's good news

Drea, you must be due some luck soon, you seem to get loads of interviews, really hope tomorrow goes well for you.

Good luck Amberowl too, interviews seem to be like buses :rotfl:I feel even just getting an interview at the minute is a good thing, it's spurred me on a bit more.

    Good luck amber!

Oh I get plenty of interviews, at least I know my CV works :rotfl: not so good at impressing them in the person though!

I've decided, tomorrow is the day someone from this thread gets good news!

It's about time we had some good news isn't it?? It really would make me feel so much better to know somebody has got a job. At the moment everyone just seems to be in the same boat, lot's of applications, interviews going well but no job at the end of it.

I'm surprised nobody has to be honest. But then I came into it with rose tinted glasses ;)

Glad I made the thread though, you guys keep me applying sometimes!

I'm glad you made it too. I was starting to feel like I was the only one in this position and that I was obviously completely useless and rubbish for not being able to get a job. It's nice to be able to chat to others in the same boat. Although family and friends try to help I'm pretty sure they have no idea how difficult it is at the moment, and I suppose I would be the same. I honestly thought I would be able to get some kind of job pretty quickly. I never thought 3 months on I would still be looking

I couldn't believe there wasn't already one. I've been surprised how difficult it is too, I was only in my last job for 6 months but went straight into it from a 2 and a half year job so I must have just got lucky with that one.

I know I haven't been looking long but I really thought something would have come up, I feel so naive :rotfl:
