Oh my god, what a disaster that was!

I got on the wrong bus, which went the wrong way so I then had to walk for ages, and therefore arrived 15 minutes late and absolutely soaked. I actually think he was okay with me being late, the whole interview he wouldn't look at me though, kept staring at a spot on the wall, so odd. I have no idea how it went but I certainly won't be surprised if it's a no!

Got a phone call from an agency while in there though so will ring them now to find out what rubbish job they want me to do ;)

well I'm back to job searching again.

the offer has been withdrawn, no reason given I have to write to "recruitment operations" to find out why.

    Gutted.

I just seen your other thread. It's ridiculous they do this and go withdrawing offers for the most ridiculous reasons. I'm so angry for you :(

Please don't rely on agencies and jobs boards as your main source. Go directly to the employers' websites as well.

Someone posted recently on another thread about looking for work as a mortgage adviser and I found a job within seconds on a building society's website. Wrong location for him, unfortunately, but he said it was perfect otherwise.

Would it help if everyone stated whereabouts in the country they're located and what type of job they're looking for? Those of us who then find jobs on employers' websites could provide the links. Everyone using this thread, not just those who post here but to include those viewing, could benefit.

...is there such a thing as a UK version of GED like in the US?
I have been in work more or less since doing A level's at school so have over 15 years of transferable skills, but have nothing certified to prove yes I am good at what I do! Might I said very good! Other than in context of my jobs.

    Any ideas?
