    Yay well done!!!

The school have got back to me, I can voluntary work 3 day's a week which is great! Hopefully I can get supply work for the other two but either way I'm happy, will be so good to get out the house and gives me more experience. Haven't had much chance to work with Years 1 and 2 so really looking forward to it :D

Thats fab! Congrats :T Im still waiting to hear back from the place I volunteered for. They are waiting on my references which have now been submitted so I should hear soon.

    Eat them ;)

The Twix triple pack is no more!:D
I think I'm having a good day today (I say 'think' because I don't want to tempt fate!). I got up early and have repointed the patio - something I was going to do last summer, but due to me having a job then I never got round to. Then I went to the newsagents to get the paper as its 'jobs day' - there are 5 jobs for me to apply for (that's more than I've applied for in the last two weeks!) and also the nice lady behind the counter asked me if I wanted a triple pack of twix for 50p as the have overstocked. Due to my current situation I very rarely treat myself and have just had the nicest twix I have ever tasted - the big question each do I eat the other two or be good and save them for another day?

I am having a good day. I got my post about an hour ago and there were two letters inviting me for interviews - one next week and one on 11th April. I'm in such a weird emotional state I burst into tears when I read them!

Oh my God! I can't believe everything has come along at once.

I'd just emailed the school to confirm starting next week when the agency calls asking me to do 6 weeks admin work in a childrens care home!!! I obviously can't afford to say no so I've arranged with the school to do this and then start voluntary with them afterwards.

Sending good luck vibes to you all :D

Well i had routes to work registration & got a call from them today saying care job in, so gonna apply done it before so experience might help. Nothing suitable on jobcentre or s1jobs or the other 10 or so sites i search lol. I went onto Mc Donalds, Asda, Morrisons, Sainsburys, sportsshops, homebase & pets at home websites ect but nothing in my area, seen cleaning job but dont have cscs card - so got onto Routes to work if i apply for ila card, they can put me through the course & all i pay is tenner. So something going right way, just need to wait till next training day comes up which could be 6 weeks, but hopefully ill have job by then. fingers crossed. Cheers for reading this & goodluck to all fellow jobseekers on here......

This topic gets busier and busier everyday! In a way that's not a good thing.

So sorry to hear that Sharon, I couldn't bare the thought of anyone been in my home.

Congrats Steph on getting some work, and good luck with the interview twinkle.

So good to read happy news on here :j

I've just finished my census online training. I'm on the reserve list for a collector role so got my fingers crossed I might manage to get a few weeks work there.

I went to see the guy at the agency today. The job he wants me for is perfect, and I had already applied for the same role but at another office an hour away! Thing is the school I was in last year lost my current CRB and all I have is a photocopy. The agency are paying for a new one for me but I just hope it comes through in time. Now I know which company it would be working for, I am tempted to send them a spec letter with my cv, would that ruin my chances with the agency?

Just about to do my last check of the job sites, there was nothing this morning when I checked and it's supposed to be job day!

    Thank you.

Fingers crossed you get it through soon. My last one only took 2 weeks which was done last month so hopefully it's a bit quieter this time of year for getting them processed.
