Not really proof is it? Of course the BBC is going to lead with UK news, unless there has been something major happening worldwide that knocks it off the top of the news. I watch Sky News and I'm pretty sure they had the same lead, though Rupert Murdoch is hardly a commie. Sky certainly wasn't reporting Tunisia first thing and they declare that they are first for breaking news, so don't be surprised that the BBC is taking a while to catch up.
Incidentally, regarding the riots in Tunisia it isn't saying "people are rioting in Tunisia", it's saying "Thomas Cook is evacuating its tourists following riots", thus putting a UK spin on an international story. This is much the same as when you hear about the British victims in the tsunami, or in international plane crashes. It's just news organisations providing news with a UK angle. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Labour wins a safe Labour seat.
Can someone explain the big fuss to me please?0 -
The BBC has a vaguely leftie Guardianista type bias, but in line with its participation in the (at least) 57 varieties of socialism, it is quite happy to attack the Labour Party when it thinks it is departing from the correct line. More interesting perhaps, is its presumptive expertise in matters of domestic and foreign policy, economics etc. - in fact operating like a government in its own right.0

I wonder what would have been the lead on SKY if the the LibDems had managed to turn over that 'safe' 103 vote majority (with the help of Tory Voters I may add)'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Dunno Stevie, but I'm pretty sure that neither Sky nor BBC will have done as good a job as the Mash:

British Broadcasting Corporation in running British news headline shocker!
I bet if their headline wasn't about the by-election (and lets say the Tunisia story) then some "bright spark" would comment on how they've found proof that the BBC hate the British and love Muslims/Arabs.
Oh and just what does this topic have to do with either House Prices or the Economy?"One thing that is different, and has changed here, is the self-absorption, not just greed. Everybody is in a hurry now and there is a 'the rules don't apply to me' sort of thing." - Bill Bryson0 -
http://www.labour-watch.com/bbcbias.htm makes for very entertaining reading. Remember that the BBC should report all news impartially and should not be giving opinions....0

The BBC does attack Labour, but only from the Left. Probably the best quote about it came from its former business editor, Jeff Randall: ""It's not a conspiracy. It's visceral. They think they are on the middle ground".
A couple of weeks reading the Biased BBC blog (skipping past the contributions of trolls and obvious loonies) provides a wealth of damning evidence.0 -

Lib Dems face byelection row over alleged rule breaking
http://www.guardian.co.uk/politics/2011/jan/10/liberal-democrats-byelection-row-rules
Nick Clegg was embroiled in a row on the eve of his final visit to the Oldham East and Saddleworth byelection amid allegations that the Liberal Democrats may have broken strict electoral rules.
As the deputy prime minister prepared to rally voters today, the cabinet secretary Sir Gus O'Donnell was asked to rule on whether the Lib Dems breached the ministerial code by promoting a government announcement during the campaign.
The row broke out after Andrew Stunell, the Lib Dem housing minister, announced after a visit to the constituency on Saturday that the government would be unveiling a £100m government scheme to bring empty houses back to use.
WHY is this not a headline on BBC news?? Damn BBC and their right wing agenda! :mad:0
