The many hours out of date refers to the interval of time between the Breakfast News being stuffed with the by election results from 8am onwards and BBC News 24, ditto, up to and including the BBC News lead item at 1pm. In journalistic terms, that's half a life time.
You don't happen to work for BBC TV News, by chance?
I find it bizarre the way the Tory mob hate the BBC, I guess it makes sense, they probably prefer their news controlled by big business. It reminds me of those deluded red Scouse football fans and referees'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

Let's see, the Right regularly says the BBC is biased and Left unfailingly leaps to its defence.
And you don't feel that might suggest something?0 -

Yes, I think it says the right haven't got the news totally stitched up with the likes of SKY, Mail,Sun,Telegraph etc but they are still hopeful 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. Good point, well made.

That would be as distinct from the Guardian, Independent, Observer, Mirror and FT (yes - Labour supporting) would it?
Meanwhile, spot the essential difference. The public isn't forced to pay for the Daily Mail before it can read any other newspapers.0 -

I agree that the BBC has a left wing bias but basically that reflects the audience and the people that make the programs.
The dangerous cranks that infest the BBC (dubbed in years gone by the Blatant Bias Corporation), make no bones about the fact that they see themselves as social engineers and opinion formers.
Most people are conservative (small c, not necessarily anything to do with the Conservative Party), and they see that as something to be changed.

Interesting that most of the newspapers you quote are relatively highbrow broadsheets with relatively low circulation compared to the low brow mass circulation brain washers.'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is.
