3.2.2 If you do not have a valid television licence

You may not watch television programmes using BBC iPlayer on any device (including mobile phones, laptops and personal computers) at the same time (or virtually the same time) as the programmes are being broadcast, simulcast or otherwise made available to members of the public on television unless you have a valid television licence. For more information on this requirement please see Do I need a TV licence to watch programmes on BBC iPlayer? or you can contact TV Licensing by calling 0870 241 5590 or by visiting www.tvlicensing.co.uk/.

you only need a tv licence to watch live streaming bbc , catchup tv has a delay of a few min's so you can legally watch ANY channel without a licence so long as its not live bbc, there is a lot more in the t&c's if anyone can be bothered to search, i know a few people who invite the tv licence guy in every 3 months, show him the telly then point him to the bbc's own website and T&C's , the tv guy leaves, no further action is taken, it's all on the BBC's website for everyone to see

I never suggested it was illegal to watch online. Did anyone?

Infact before you went on about all this I clearly stated.
Went on about all this? Was this after you challenged my statement?

Shame you missed that.;) No, didn't miss it it wasn't relevant to the debate as I am sure you are well aware.

You did suggest that you could not watch TV programmes without possessing a TV licence. Which is wrong as we all, including you I hope, now know.

Like I said it is illegal to watch TV programs without a licence it is true, it is as clear as your point. I can give you examples if you want.
I can be just as difficult as you, you know people have been done for watching TV programs without a licence so it must be true.
I know people can watch online without a licence.
It's a pain when people are obstructive and petty isn't it.

But glad we are all clear now.

I really think you should stop spouting that mantra as it is clearly not true.

You do seem to have great difficulty in understanding that. Why I am not sure but you are completely totally and utterly wrong in your contention.

    Really? Have you asked them?
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

    See Edit,

Just you dont get it, you cant watch TV programs without a TV licence, that is not entirely true.
The only legal way to do it is watch a few on line after they have been shown. Any other method in reality is illegal.

There are many programs you can't watch without a TV licence. True or not true?

But you don't need a licence to watch any of them using a catch-up service now do you?
