What can you output your mobile phone to TV?
OK I missed out BT Vision and Virgin but still they are both licenced services?
The only way you can get it on Freeview is on red button, but that would require and arial connection?
So what other routs to output to TV are there other than consoles and pcs? (tablets are PCs by the way)the only other ways of getting Iplayer on a TV is on freesat
And I was challenging that precept. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0 -
I personally would not have a problem with the BBC introducing advertising. If it meant a lower TV licence great, it would help the poorer the most. The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark0

Why not pay the BBC with a goverment grant? I don't see the need to tax it seperately.
There's no NHS tax, (okay okay there is NI, but you know what i mean) there's no school tax, no library tax, why the need for a TV tax?
And that way it would be fairer on the poor also.0 -

Is a computer not a PC:), see my full quote
Not sure what you are saying, are you saying that you can't connect 'non live' Iplayer from PC to TV without a license?'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0 -

I said the only ways to watch on TV were on a PC, Console or Freesat (OK other licenced services)
So in reality the only ways to watch without a licence are PC and console for non live content.
That was my point.
I was not saying you could or could not anything in conectivity, I was stated the non licenced route is limited for TV output console or computer basically.
Even then you have got to remember not to connect an arial or tune a TV.0 -
I am quite happy to pay for the wonderful, unbiased BBC, not to mention some of the little extras like help with the kids school work, and grown up revision

Well not really, as you can watch some programs online after they have been aired.
I would not constitute that has TV programs as your choice is limited.
Can I watch a Premier League game for example?
So you were not entirely straight on your claim you said you can watch TV programs without a licence, you can basically watch some programs on line after they are aired.
I even said on the last page you need a licence for "some" online content.
What a waste of time, it could of been cleared up in two posts.
If you re-read my post you would see I was entirely "straight" What I said was just a statement of fact. It was you who for some reason seemed to be able to understand that.
Not sure you still do to be honest.0
