Yes you're right sorry, I meant that there are 7 different task types listed, with the first abbreviation being type 1, the second type 2, and so on :rotfl:
    Ah right, thanks!
Will refer to it by that in future.

    Hi

My dd has just passed and has been told by her bank Natwest that there will be a £10 charge for each incoming payment if it is in euros.

Does everyone else's banks make this charge?

    Thanks

    Sue

I have yet to be paid so cannot say for sure but Nationwide have told me that they make no charge.
    Congratulations to your daughter!

I asked my bank but have been told by the person on the phone that she didn't know even after asking her colleagues! My stepdad who does self-employed work for a company in Germany says he gets charged £8.00 each time he gets paid.

This is what HSBC said in regards to incoming payment:
Please note the charge deducted by HSBC UK for sterling payment payable to your sterling account from anywhere in the world:
    Up to GBP100 Free
    Over GBP100 GBP6 per transfer

Foreign currency payment payable to your account held in the same currency as the payment:
Up to GBP100 equivalent - Free
    Over GBP100 equivalent - GBP6 per transfer
Clean Euro payment from EU under EUR50,000 - quoting BIC & IBAN - Free

Payment payable to your account held in a different currency from that of the payment:
Up to GBP100 equivalent - Free
    Over GBP100 equivalent - GBP8 per transfer
Clean Euro payment from EU under EUR12,500 - quoting BIC & IBAN - Free

Now I am guessing that Lionbridge will be the last one - Clean Euro Payment quoting BIC & IBAN as this is what we needed to quote.
You can also open a Euro deposit account - http://www.citibank.co.uk/personal/banking/international/deposits.htm?merchant=citi I conisdered this to get the best rate for the exchange.

    Nationwide does not charge :D

Make sure you check your invoices carefully as they have left me more than 40 euro short. Trying to sort it out now :(

Sammyantha, I hope you have had some sleep!

Find it hard to do some work after my proper job as I'm usually too tired by the time I've put dinner on and wash dishes. Really want to move into a new flat with a bigger kitchen and dishwasher! Maybe a flat that comes with a free chef too lol!
