Apply when you get back - the contract is a max of 11 months and you need to be located in the UK to do the job.0

Hi everyone. I received my email that has the guidelines link and all that stuff. I noticed that my comp. requirements say I have to use IE9. I can't get IE9 to install on my computer! argh! I'm glad LB is working out for so many. I don't know what to do. I think I'm going to take the tests and see if I pass before I worry about this more.0

Hi everyone, have just been offered a position as internet crowd worker, and was very excited to get going but am disapppointed that both today and yesterday there has been nothing for me to do. I believe I need to do a qualication 'thing' before I can actually do anything anyway.
Is it a case of logging in and checking, or should I just wait for their emails? They mentioned in an email that when I receive an email saying there's something to do, that I should log on. Is it worth logging on anyway to check, or will they always email?
Does anyone know whether the internet crowd worker can pay anywhere near to what maybe an average 10hour a week part tiume job will pay? or will it just be a few pounds a week? Understand if you can't discuss, but at the moment I know nothing about the kind of money invovled, whether it might be £50 a week or £2 a week.
Many thanks0 -

Hi I do work for LB as an Internet assessor and ABH as a crowdsourcer - with both the work can be very patchy and often its either feast or famine ( particularly ABH crowdsourcing). I do check daily for work as I find I don't always get emails telling me there is work available.
Regarding money - I've had months where I have earned a decent amount and other months with very little. Its difficult to compare to a regular pt job, for example with the crowdsourcing I have made occasionally $70 in a couple of days but then had virtually nothing for the next 2 weeks. Its not work you can do if you need to rely on it as a regular income as its varies quite a bit. Best seen as a way of making a few extra quids!"All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy"

Anyone else finding LB server slow today - I've given up as tasks were taking an age to load......and tbh all I had were tasks I hate ( and which take me too long to do!)"All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy"

Just saw lionbridge are taking on games testers working from home:

Has anyone else received an email in the last couple of days to say their services are no longer required?
Lionbridge was working really well for me (was earning at least £400 per month) but it seems no more...0 -
Bad news 271906 - maybe you should look out for work with LF or ABH. I'm half expecting that email too as after getting average scores I seem to have dropped for some reason - I've been nagging them for better feedback as what I've had so far doesn't fit in with my low score and had no response at all. I've been NRT too. Still I'm off on my hols in a couple of days so I'll see what waiting for me when I get back. If it happens it will be a shame though as like you I've found it a decent little earner"All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy"

I was pretty gutted. The email didn't mention any quality issues, just that they 'refresh teams from time to time'.
I had experienced some lack of work over the past few weeks, but on the whole it was pretty good. Didn't really expect to be kicked off.
I think maybe they just had too many people working in the area I was working in, as data shortages did seem common at times. I was qualified to do a couple of different tasks so avoided major downtime, but I'd say it was becoming more of an issue, sadly.
Thanks for mentioning another 2 similar companies, and sorry for the basic question, but could you tell me who ABH are?
I was treating this as a part time job, so in a bit of a difficult situation right now.
Thanks - much appreciated.0 -
ABH - is Appen Butler Hill - there's a thread on them here in the forums if you want to check it out and ask people who know more than me. I can't speak for them when it comes to Internet Evaluator work but I have done crowdsourcing work for them and while its patchy its OK.
Good Luck!"All I ask is the chance to prove that money can't make me happy"
