Yeah I am expecting to hear the worst from them too - I'm only a few months away from hitting 11 months anyway, but I've noticed from seldom missing one quality target, I now am seeing 1-3 being missed each week even though I haven't changed my approach (feedback has been lacking lately) - I guess they have an excuse to get rid of me early! Shame really - despite being mind-numbingly boring to clock up the required hours at times, it has been a solid additional income stream (10 hours/week at least, as far back as I can remember).

As others have mentioned, I must look into ABH at some point, looking ahead to finishing at LB.

To be honest, I didn't get much feedback at all. When I did, a lot of it appeared to be contradictory - it was hard at times to judge what was expected as the guidelines seemed to change without any feedback/notification. One minute a judgement was said to be correct, then I'd make the same judgement and it'd come back as incorrect.

This said, I was hitting the quality targets they sent in the latest emails. If I was removed due to quality concerns it'd have been nice if they'd given me a warning or advised me of this. I guess it's just one of those things - the problem is because it's independent contractor work they can just get rid of you for no/little reason.

Quite annoying altogether though because in the last week I managed 30 hours - but then the tasks I preferred evaporated, and I was left with just one task, which disappeared a day before the dreaded 'thank you and goodbye' email. They said they'd contact me if any work is available in the future, but I imagine that's just a courtesy as I see they have other jobs advertised on the website and I haven't been invited to apply for any.

Thanks for mentioning the other companies - really is appreciated. I will check them out. I guess it was good whilst it lasted.

Well I applied a few weeks ago after seeing Lionbridge mentioned in Martin's Email.

Ive today had the following email:

Thank you for completing the Lionbridge recruitment and selection proces.
We are delighted to inform you that you have been successful in your
application for the freelance position with Lionbridge.
Work on this program will commence on very soon.
The program lead will be in contact with you shortly to welcome you on board.
Following this, you will receive access to our systems and our finance team will also be in contact with you to arrange payment.

Haven't done any kind of exam or anything with them so Im a bit confused to be honest....guess Ill just have to wait and see

I had this did my first rating last night and got about 86% I'm unsure if this is any good or not. Some of the stuff I answered to the guidelines they told me I was wrong.

I hope I get something different to rate.

Is anyone working on the games testing role? Just wondering how difficult it is for a person with no testing experience.

    Thanks Ann

I have done the website evaluator position at Lionbridge and have now been considering doing the crowdsourcing job but it is really unclear what the pay will be like. Can anyone tell me does the pay work out on average to be about the same hourly rate as the website evaluator work or is it more poorly paid than that?

From memory, I think you have to select the "Print" button instead of the more logical "Download" button next to it - this will still download a zip file but inside will be a nicely formatted invoice pdf. :j

    Hope this helps.
