  • I'm trying to take the test for a Lionbridge role, but on the left, where I believe the user's search engine results should be shown, there is only a big black screen (FF, IE and Google chrome). Is that a technical error or have I just missed the point of the exercise?

Probably a technical error, or your computer.

I applied and have got through sucessfully :)

I'm working on search tool for a well know search company but have got no idea of hourly pay???

Also been told on the weocme email that the requirement of this task is upto 28 hours per week... Does that mean i have to do 28 hour per week??

Didnt realise it would be that much commitment? Will i be booted off if i dont complete that many hours?

    Can anyone shed some light

    Thanks

I doubt you will get as much work as that. I managed 1 hour yesterday and 1 today but I definitely think I have taken the wrong role

Well, after a couple of weeks with lots of work as soon as LB send the email out saying we can work up to 30 hours this week the work starts to dry up a little. I seem to have gone from doing 4 hours a day ( and could have done more) to just managing @ 30 minutes a day at most. Whats everyone elses experience?

Seems to be the same for me too, maybe that e-mail spurred everyone into action at the same time. Leaving crumbs behind.

Next time I see that e-mail I am going to hit the jobs fast, seems like they have also taken on too many new dudes.

The guidelines are long but you will need to refer to them! I made lots of use of the search box while actually doing the exam to check what I was doing. Read the guidelines before you start so you understand the basics and if it helps you make some notes of the more important points. Take your time and good luck:)
