Hello, I am new here. I just failed 2nd part of LB exam last night and went on internet for opinions. I noticed some posts mentioning a simulator they got when they were invited to take the exam, and they say that was very useful. I read everything they sent me and could not find such simulator. Anyone can point out where it was? Did I miss it? Thanks

They send it with your start up stuff, little practical mock tests

    Hi
Had an email today to say I have qualified and can start on the live data, I assume the details on time sheets etc will come later, how do you all keep track on the time spent on the tasks? is there an easy way?

I have a maths book with times of tasks in the margin like this. Each dash is a task completed. Then at end of each day add all your dashes to the minutes of each task.

    Monday

    Time Task

    12 mins E ////////////////////////////////////////////////////////

    9 mins S ////////////////////////////////////////////////

    0.5 mins I ///////////////////////////////////////////
    Tuesday

    Time Task
  • A few days ago I applied for two positions with Lionbridge, Internet search administrator and Internet Crowd Worker, in my language, Italian. Two days ago I received the e-mail containing the Consulting Agreement and all the other stuff, with a request to sign their Terms and Conditions. I did this today and I just received an e-mail saying my application was unsuccessful with no other explanation. Actually, it said that, due to the large number of requests, they couldn't give individual feedback.
Is this normal procedure? I didn't take a test or anything. First they said I might be suitable and then the next day they changed their mind. Did anyone experience this?

Hi all. I wonder if anybody can help. I had to go into hospital for a while and when I had recuperated fully I decided to get back to work. I logged into the new portal for crowd workers and added my details (which had been there on the old portal) but there is no "SAVE" button so it won't save. I have emailed them 3 times but got no response. Anybody else having similar problems or indeed any issues with the new portal?

Edit - I have now got this sorted by an email reply but now cannot log into the supplier portal. Arghhhh. So far in 8 weeks I have managed 5 hours work, mind you 4 weeks were written off due to my unavailability but even so I feel like I have spent more time doing qualifying tests, exams and admin than actually working.

After my complaining I feel a bit sheepish as I did 6 hours work yesterday. I have managed an hour today but it's run out now.

Well done for getting 6 hours! I've stopped checking for the last few days because there's been so little. Must check tomorrow.....if it doesn't pick up soon I'm giving up as I resent spending unpaid time on webinars and the like when there's no paid work coming through.
