    Hi guys,

Just registering as self employed with the HMRC and have a few (dummy) questions!

The address you register the 'business' to- is that just your home address? Im at my parents and I dont want them getting into any trouble because I'm using their house as a 'business'..

Also, it asks if Im doing all my work for one firm and their address- did people just give Lionbridge HQ?

Sorry, Im rubbish with tax stuff!

PM me if u dont want to talk about it openly.

    Thank you
Do you need to register a business?

I was just planning on filling in a self-assessment form and including it in the other income section rather than the employment section.

Would be interested in hearing what other people have done.

Don't forget that there are plenty of expenses you can claim tax-relief against - mortgage interest, house insurance, gas, electricity etc

Has anyone started doing the new tasks that have recently been uploaded, the ones that have to be logged on a different sheet?

I had an email with the metrics and I cannot get anywhere near what they are expecting. I have emailed them to ask them for more instructions as I cannot see how its possible to complete them within the timescale they have suggested.

Yes I've done some of the new tasks too, two different types of them and it has taken me a lot longer to do them than they outlined in their e-mail. Thought the instructions for the tasks were a bit on the short side too. Would be interested to hear if you get a reply from them.
