Boots 75% sale NOT going ahead

I work for Boots and we were sent a memo yesterday morning saying:

"All sale items will be remaining at 50% off. The company does not have any plans for a 75% off sale this year."

well they'll end up with a lot of stock that they can't shift if that's the case

Clearly if they are not having a 75% sale business has been brisk enough for them at 50% and they don't expect that to happen or they already know the quantities are going to be tiny.

I agree, there is loads of stuff left at our Boots!

We have loads of stuff as well, especially those pesky Strictly cases and Fern Hatbox. I think it'll stay at 50% and then maybe when there is literally a couple of things left they'll whack them in the clearance section at a reduced price, but none of the good stuff will be at 75%.

Either they are trying extremely hard to put us off the scent or it will all go into clearance at the end of January. Can't fool us Mr Boots

'does not have any plans' is still leaving it open to a sale if they don't shift stuff. Don't think there's anything they have that I think is worth buying at half price
