Ooh, mine are so yummy! Heat 75g of butter, 60g of brown sugar, and 1 (generous) tablespoon of golden syrup in a pan over the hob. When everything is melted, stir in a good glug of milk (this is what stops them going too hard), then mix in about 175g - 200g of porridge oats. Press it down into a square cake tin (I think mine is about 18 cm square) and cook it at 180c for about 25 minutes. Hope they work out for you. Boo.x0

It being January, we are on a frugality kick (and OH is on a health kick) so trying to eat what we have out of our rather depleted cabinets:
Thursday - Carrot and Corriander soup (have lots of carrots that need using, and some bread that needs eating. New recipie for me)
Friday - vege bolganese pasta bake (have everything in for this)
Saturday - Out
Sunday - jacket pots with vege chili from freezer
Monday - leftover pasta bake
Tuesday - leftover soup
Wednesday - maybe veg curry with rice, not sure yet but need to use jar of curry paste
Theoretically, I should be able to get through the week only buying a bit of corriander for the soup, breakfast cereal, bread, milk and some broth powder, pluss any veg for the curry. Lunches are leftovers.
Have you tried carrot and ginger soup? We love it and I often use ground ginger for it which i often have in the store cupboard anyway, it would save you from buying fresh corianderMember 1145 Sealed Pot Challenge No4

Stuck to last weeks meal plan...mostly
Anyway, having done a bit of cooking today (slow cooked a nice bit of brisket, sc gammon for sarnies and a pasta based dish in the week, and choc cranberry brownies) this week will be:
Brekkie - toast or cereal/porridge
Lunches (for me anyway as OH on jury service and lunch provided) soup made with veggies & stock/wine the brisket was cooked in, or sarnies with the sc gammon
Evening meals -
Su - slow cooked brisket, roast tatties and parsnips, sweetcorn, hm yorkies and hm gravy
Mo – spag bol
Tu – pasta & gammon in tomato & mascarpone sauce
We – Chicken burger and chips or wedges
Th – Lo brisket stir fry with rice & veg
Fr – maybe a takeaway end of week treat
Sa – Breaded pork steaks & potatoes or rice
Snacks - choc cranberry brownies - recipe from lovefoodhatewaste.com - really moist and scrummy and very OS as it uses up cranberry sauce left over from xmas.
Have a good week everyoneLet's get ready to bumble! :rotfl:0
