Is anyone else craving salad? Think I might make a start with some seeds on the kitchen windowsill
Thought this was just me! I bought a bag of leaves this week and was trying to serve it with everything. DH thought I was quite mad. :rotfl:
Here's up until the end of next week... with some slight modifications due to an unexpected takeaway tonight.
Friday 14th: [STRIKE]Lasagne and Chips[/STRIKE] Takeaway
Saturday 15th: [STRIKE]Kedgeree[/STRIKE] Lasagne and [STRIKE]chips[/STRIKE] salad (vegetarian)
Sunday 16th: Pork Chops w/ roast veg
Monday 17th: [STRIKE]Pasta[/STRIKE] Kedgeree
Tuesday 18th: Chicken pie (made from last week's roast leftovers and frozen)
Wednesday 19th: Chilli con carne (vegetarian)
Thursday 20th: Lentil soup (vegetarian)
Friday 21st: Pizza and chips
Saturday 22nd: Chorizo and bean stew
Most of this is already in the freezer, all I need to buy is some more salad leaves and fresh veg.0 -
Alright, here's my mealplan for the coming week. I'm a bit late in planning things this week as there's been lots going on. Anyway, here goes:
Saturday: Beef and Ale Pie with mash and veggies
Sunday: Pasta Bake (probably bacon, tomato and cheese)
Monday: Jambalaya (using bacon, tomatoes and sausages)
Tuesday: Toad in the Hole (using the rest of the sausages!)
Wednesday: Not Sure Yet
Thursday: Curry with Rice
Friday: Meatball Subs. This'll make loads of meatballs that I can freeze for another time. Better freezer management is one of my goals this year!
Saturday: Chilli con Carne with sauteed potatoes - yum
Sunday: Sweet Chilli Prawns with Noodles and stir-fried veg.
There'll be some cake to eat up for snacks, but lunches are sandwiches as usual. There's also fruit and in the week I'll make some cookies or something for the biscuit tin to make the most of the oven while the toad is in.
Have a good week, everyone.

The meal planning is going well so far, pretty much stuck to it, just changed a couple of days round. This week:
Sat - Macaroni Cheese

Mon - Omelette and HM bread
Tues - HM chicken nuggets, breaded mushrooms and potato wedges (might use cajun spice on these, yum!)

Lunches for me will be soup and HM bread, for OH will be sandwiches. Breakfast will be HM yoghurt. Shouldn't need to do any shopping apart from eggs which I will get from a friend who has chickens!0 -
