    Hi all

The good news is that it's so mild the washing is hanging outside for the first time for weeeeeeeks! :j

Not much going today, hair trimmed and dog walked by 830am so ready for a rest now! Roast chicken for dinner which means soups and curries for the rest of the week - which I actually prefer to the roast......but it's a means to an end.

NSDs going well so far - on about 50% which I'm quite happy with!

Wiiing on hold as the Wii Fit Plus DVD didn't work so replacement on its way. Don't know know whether it was the error or the glass of red wine that affected the calculation of my Wii fit age as 25 years older than my actual age ................learning point: don't do balance exercises after wine ;)

    Happy afternoon

Afternoon all! finished work early today as there was not much to do, so home lovely and early.

Going to clean house and small animals out, have a bath and then decide what to do for dinner. My meal planner tells me tonight is chicken and potato bake, but i didn't bother getting chicken out the freezer and got 30 eggs from our chickens yesterday so think i'd do some omlettes instead and save the chicken for another day (although OH probably has different ideas)

Got more surveys to do today too and finally sent off for my music magpie vouchers so will get them boxed ready for shipping.

NPM - my son gets 19 hours a week on his statement, which I understand is very good. I can't believe you have to go to tribunal to try and get noahs hours reassesed, can you not call an a review if you are not happy. I understand that Network 81 is a national charity that can assist parents with statements, appeals etc. Their website is https://www.network81.org. It seems so wrong that you have to fight the system for what Noah needs, keep strong.

    Hola!

Well I was just about to post and quickly read my emails first, to get a large shock, a next door but one neighbour here, who had become a friend, emailed me from the UK, to say she had been diagnosed with Kidney Cancer, and was due to have the kidney removed in 3 weeks. Everything went out of my head, so will try to post later.

    Evenin' all,
    Not loads of OS today.
HM bread and soup made and both got thumbs up from OH and DD1.
DW loaded and unloaded. DD1 taxied for.
Paid card bill up to date.
Had freezer surprise dinner yesterday (as it turned out to be an NSD so didn't have the wherewithall for an omelette) - cottage pie with Normandy chicken gravy - it turned out surprisingly tasty.
Am going to make the Omelette Arnold Bennett tonight with salad.
Must put new elastic on the waistbands of 4 pairs of trousers or they'll embarrass me one day:(
Have a good evening, Silver x
ETA What a horrible shock Donny-gal that sort of news makes me go really cold. Hope she gets through OK.
Hugs for those in need, high 5s for those with happy news

  • Evening all

Welcome newbies, and (((hugs))) to those in need

Another day clearing out at work! But we took all the crap to the tip and our other stores so it's a million times better now :D. We recycled loads so it made me feel good inside :rotfl:. Tomorrow we are bringing back out outdoor pursuits kit back to live in the office, so it will be messy again but on Monday the boys are organising that so by Tuesday the whole place should be fab, and I can get back to my normal job.

OS wise - I had HM soup for lunch, making curry for tea, and something for lunch tomorrow. DW will go on overnight.

    Have a fab evening all

  • Not OS as such but I just wanted to share this....I've just spent a few minutes looking at my finances as I'm trying to stick to a tight budget as I have 2, possibly 3, weddings to go to abroad in next 18months , plus I need to pay some money towards my PGCE fees!

Very pleased to say I haven't spent a penny on my credit card this year :D and I've stuck to my budget for the month so far - my 'month' runs til 21st. I needed to find £127 towards my uni fees this year, and I just realised that I will soon have 2 months where I don't need to pay my council tax so this will cover it, and I'll have £50 leftover to put towards the holidays :j
