Just an update - it is Nairobi Kenya. I have not heard back from the winning bidder or Ebay but I have heard back from the 2nd highest bidder to say that he is still interested so I will wait to see what Ebay have to say and if nothing is sorted out today I will sell to the second highest bidder. The item number is 22004374385 if one of the regulars could look into it I would be grateful. Many thanks OOPS
edit - I have also written to the ebayer that sold an item to this person in September:cool: Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0

If there is a 2 then I see the buyer as registered in the UK
For clarification the phone should only be sent to the registered paypal address. Also, make sure that any emails you received from paypal are real, always double check payments received in your paypal account and never rely on the paypal email alone.

They may be a student over here from Nigeria so I would be very careful and as you said send it special delivery but paypal still might find in favour of your buyer even though you have proof of delivery as the person who signs for the item might not be the 'buyer' and it could end up being a scam.0

So you take the moral high ground and criticise me for making an “abusive” post and then include a sarcastic comment? Rather undermines your high ground a bit don’t you think?????"Success is not to be measured by the position someone has reached in life, but the obstacles he has overcome while trying to succeed." Double check that the money is in your account and that the buyers address is verified as you are not covered by paypal even if you send it special delivery if their address is not verified!DFW no.630!

Even if you send it special delivery you are not necessarily covered.
Paypal have a nice 'get out of paying' clause in their terms and conditions. (Which were last updated on the 12th of October as I'm sure people were aware)For transactions equal to £150.00 GBP or more in value, the seller needs to provide proof of receipt (signed, or otherwise acknowledged, by the buyer)
In other words if someone else living at that address signs for it then you are not covered. They promised the earth...and delivered mud. Technically though it did meet the spec.0

right getting confuzzled again. The sale is less than £150 and I have just checked on Paypal and the address is unconfirmed. Can I ask for advice on this again from a more experienced ebayer than me
edit - the buyer is non - us - verifired on Paypal if that means anything ? Official DFW Nerd Club Member #37 Debt free Feb 07 :cool:0
