Hi, I used this recipe, had the waffles sweet, I used chicken breast to fry in strips, it really was yum, although I had reservations about fried chicken with sweet waffles with butter and syrup on.

For anyone who has got one of these, can you remove the plates for cleaning? I have just thrown my Cuisinart professional waffle maker out as the plates would not come out and after a while, the waffles kept sticking even though I had greased the plates. Last time I used it, they completely stuck and I couldn't remove them.0

Hi
No unfortunately the plates don't come out - but for a £10 I'm not complaining!
I have used the recipe with the beaten egg white as recommended earlier by Angeltreats and its gorgeous. I also brushed melted butter on the hotplates and they came out no problems.

Finally gave in and bought one, much to the annoyance of the wife. I wonder how long it will be until it's sitting at the back of the cupboard?0

Love my waffle maker - had it for a few years now. I make a big batch of the mix and store it in the fridge in a washed out milk carton. That way anyone can make their own as and when wanted! (my boys are grown up and I'm not standing making them waffles all day!)
my fav topping is stewed apples, sprinkled with cinnamon and a dollop of dairy free ice=-cream (I can't eat dairy)

We LOVE our waffle maker but after 5/6 years of good use it has finally given up on New Years Day.. had been waiting to get one fome Lidl but as you can see above wasnt very successful as what I thought was Lidl is infact Aldi !!!!!
Anyone know of anywhere else that are selling them for a good price?? Have looked on Amazon but nothing cheap and Argos dont seem to have any reasonable priced ones either.
Any ideas anyone?0 -
