That one is only 850Watt, Lidl one is 1200Watt. Plus the Lidl one comes with a 3 year manufacturer’s warranty, don't know about the one from Currys

Sorry for sounding thick but what difference would the wattage make? Would the higher one make better waffles? I can't decide which one to get but am inclined to go with the cheaper Currys one as it's not something I'd use a lot

I bought one of these from Lidl a few years ago, they make lovely waffles. I also use mine for toasties!

well i collected mine today from currys and made some waffles but i must admit i prefer pancakes but they were nice
must admit i expected it to be bigger as the waffles were a bit on the small side so we had one lot of 5 each lol

Thanks for that! Trying to decide which one to get - not that I really need one and have spent far too much with this site recently ;) but I do love Waffles!!!!!
Do you think the Currys one is OK then or would you pay the extra and go for the Lidl one???

Best waffle recipe........from my MIL's recipe book.......from Norway, the home of the yummiest waffles.

    3 eggs
    5dl plain flour
    5dl milk
    1dl caster sugar
    1tsp baking powder

Whisk eggs, add flour and milk a little at a time, add caster sugar and finally baking powder. Allow to stand for a while before cooking if possible.

Grease the waffle iron a little to prevent sticking, and do not overfill or you will get into a terrible mess!

Pro-rata the ingredients if you want a smaller quantity.

oh.....and it is IMPOSSIBLE to need less than 2 rounds per person!!
