I went to pick one up this afternoon - I asked one of the assistants - he looked rather blank at me and said they hadnt got any and didnt know about any coming in - he then asked if I was in the right shop... was I ? NO I was in Aldi :P :O I now need to find my local Lidl :O

Love it! So pleased to finally have one. I have invited friends round at the weekend for coffee and waffles! haha! Recipe I've used tonight is 250g Plain Flour, 1 tbsp Baking powder, 2 tbsp caster sugar, pinch of salt, 400ml milk, 2 eggs, 2 tbsp of veg oil. I threw it all in a bowl and electric whisked for 3 minutes. They were very tasty. It appears to be an art to not over filling the machine! I filled until I was a cm away from the edges after it had naturally spread itself, that works the best.

I got one too, resisted for years but caved today, made fried chicken and waffles for tea and it was DE-LI-CIOUS.

Oooh, what recipe did you use for this if you don't mind me asking? Did you make the waffles savoury or have them sweet?
