    Local Government Finance Act 1992.

I can't accept we don't have to pay it just because people claim we don't without providing proof. Because if you can prove I don't have to pay and will not be summonsed for non payment and even if I am summonsed, the summons will fail, then I'll cancel my DD tomorrow.

Of course if none of us pay, who will pay the teachers, police and fire service?

    I AM NOT ASLEEP

A council cannot issue the Liability Order - the Liability Order is granted by the court after the issuing of the summons, no council issues the liability orders themselves. The Summons are often printed and posted by the council on behalf of the court but its the court who issue the summons, the counil merely print and post them for the court.

So they haven't admitted that there are no Liability Orders - merely they don't have a paper copy... (what about my authority who have a scanned paper copy of every liability order ?)

Every council tax record the council have are stored electronically -does that mean they doesn't exist ? . Or, to take it to an extreme - paper copies of this website don't exist so that this means that this site doesn't exist....
I no longer work in Council Tax Recovery but instead work as a specialist Council Tax paralegal assisting landlords and Council Tax payers with council tax disputes and valuation tribunals. My views are my own reading of the law and you should always check with the local authority in question.

CIS, whatever you do, don't let on that the Valuation List doesn't exist!

Well, not in paper form anyway.

Are you implying that there might not be a corporeal body made of cellulose, chalk and ink and referred to by the nominative title "Valuation List" but only an arrangement of electrons also referred to by the nomnative title "Valuation List"? Such a thing could not form part of a contract or claims for tort or abuse of process because of the precedent set in Danelaw when Hereward the Weak determined that sunlight was subject to the will of the sovereign.

    WAKE UP YOU DOZY SHEEP.
loose does not rhyme with choose but lose does and is the word you meant to write.
