    Thanks Castlelough and MC.

I had some spotting mid-week which freaked me out. Especially as I was at work and could not leave. I had guests so had to pretend everything was great and be entertaining. I've also decided that pain and spotting is normal for me in pregnancy. I've also been really tired so going to bed early which has meant I've missed some of the Winter Olympics :(

I love the snowboard cross and ski cross - we'd would love to see them live.

Spotting is very scary. It often means nothing though. :)

Hoping for the best for you. How many weeks are you now, and when's your next scan?

    Thanks Lois, Tilly and GG.

I'm now 6 weeks 4 days. I think! I find the counting system strange that I'm also in my 7th week.

As I've had IVF I get an early scan at 7 weeks (or 8th week!) on Thursday to check my little pea is in the right place and has a heart beat.

I phoned the clinic on the day and they said spotting was common. They were not going to bring the scan forward as there would be not a lot to see and to contact them if the pain/bleeding got worse.

I've joined the early pregnancy thread. Something I did not know about last time. A LOT of other ladies are also spotting which makes it weird that I've never heard of pain and spotting being a pregnancy symptom.

The NHS website is awful. It practically says if you have any type of bleed it's likely you'll have a miscarriage. Which is not something I needed to read. It made my worrying worse.

Hi Peonie, I know its impossible to do but try not to worry! I had nothing with dd but then did get spotting with the twins at 6 weeks and all was fine (except there were two of course :rotfl:) I was told by the hospital that it's very common to get spotting especially early on, look after yourself and roll on the scan :)

    Thanks NG and icontinuetodream,

I'm really trying not to worry. Today I had awful pain for hours. Thankfully it's subsided.

Only 3 more days until the scan :T

We went food shopping yesterday and we bought loads of fruit and veg. Here's to a healthier Peonie  (If I was drinking).
