I LOVE that you bought robes for guests.
Want to come and stay at your house!0 -
You wouldn't if you saw the bathroom
It's mainly family that stay over and one has a robe here. It's on its last legs so I thought it would be nice to get 2 new ones for anyone that stays. When I mentioned it to the family member they told me about the lovely ones they bought for £50 each:rotfl:. I would not spend that on a robe for myself!Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

This week was frantic. Doctors and hospital appointments. My friend has a highly contagious illness so I wanted to check mini P would be OK and the possibility of passing it to my relative going through chemo. On top of that I had a bleed which was very scary. Thankfully the hospital saw me within 2 hours and mini P was bouncing around. I cried with relief. All is well and we're now in the second trimester. Now that's a cause for celebration :T:T:T
On the money front, I'm going to add a little bit extra as a voluntary contribution to my pension each month.
I've been trying to find some more information about the new T$B 5% current account on their website but can't find anything.
This month the food budget was absolutely blown. We bought a lot of big bags of pasta and stock cubes. But the overspend goes well beyond usual.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Thanks Lois. It certainly is a relief to move on. I pestered our clinic for a photo when our little pea was growing there and they sent me a 30 second video of its growth over the first 5 days. It's amazing. I thought that, maybe, I'd get one picture. I am so grateful.
My laptop has finally given up. It did well to last over 10 years. Mr P has ordered some equipment to retrieve the data. I feel lost without my spreadsheets. I need to update my mortgage sheet as I've made an April overpayment of £310 :T
Everything is well with little pea. My bloating is not going down the same so I wonder if this really is the start of my bump. I am wondering what clothes I'm going to fit in soon. It's probably too soon for maternity wear.
I would love to say we're saving a lot of money from not drinking alcohol but I hardly ever drink so nothing has changed there.
Mr P's business is doing really well. He's worked non-shop for 3 months. Which is great news for my stress levels.
I've opened another 2 x 5% accounts so now have £6500 in higher interest accounts. Our ISA is only at 1.6%. I don't know if it's worth it.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

That's brilliant news Peonie!!:D
When I was pregnant with my first child I had to wear maternity stuff from 13 weeks and looked like a beached whale by the time I was 16 weeks!!Probably to do with the cravings I had for mars bars and coke though!!

Omg, maternity wear from 13 weeks. I'm eating a lot of Italian meals, cheese and fruit juice. I have gone off hot drinks except hot chocolate.
The tiredness seems to have passed - for now.
DH and I went out with friends today and had a great day. We spent quite a lot of money! It was all Mr P's money so at least my (our) savings won't be affected. I'm still missing my spreadsheets. Plus I now need to hunt out the codes to access internet banking - what a pain.

Hello!
I've been browsing your diary this evening.
Right at the beginning, you mentioned sustainability. I think that is so important. I've been making a few financial changes in my preparations for early retirement, and when I started, that word I had in my head was sustainability. I thought to myself that there was no point in setting myself such a hard regime that I couldn't keep it up, and I want to enjoy life too!
So I started looking through your diary, and read about some of the things that have happened over the last few years, you've certainly had to go through sad times. Over the last few pages, i read on, hoping that things would continue to go well, and I was delighted to read your last few posts.
I'm so pleased for you!Early retired - 18th December 2014
