We now have a new, to us, car - yay :T:T:T We pick it up on Thursday and hand over the other 2. So we'll be a 1 car family :T. We should save around £400 a year on road tax and car insurance. Plus I'll phone my insurance company tomorrow to cancel my insurance and hopefully i'll get some money back. We will have to have a second set of keys cut and isofix installed.
We finally did it. :T But I will miss my little car. It's been a good un.l
I got Mr P to agree that he over cover the majority if not all the car costs so I can consider the car up-keep pot as full. Another yay. :T

I tried to include all my savings pots but there's a character limit - boo.
I spent ages tinkering with what I wanted to put in mine, cutting out a character here and a character there to make it all fit in!
What other savings pots do you have that you had to miss out?I'd best get something to eat before I start to feel sick.
Hope you feel better soon. How many weeks are you now?Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

I had to spend a long time getting rid of a comma here and a colon there. I don't like not having commas in between thousands numbers but needs must. That probably makes me sound crazy. Oh, and I've used a RAG colour-rating system
Upon checking I've only missed out the IVF part 2 pot. Really I should not even think about that yet and enjoy this pregnancy. But I am, that and maternity leave part 2.
With the amount of renovations DH has planned in the next few months the £3,000 is not going to cover what was planned and the new works. I'll need to get a new spreadsheet out to calculate it -exciting times :rotfl:
I need to update my signature again.
I'm 16 weeks. I need to eat before a certain time or else I start to feel sick and vomit. Not nice. But it stops me from having silly lie-ins.
I watching a big bundle of baby clothes on fleabay for £2.
I hope you enjoyed your holidays.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Wow! You've made so much progress since yesterday! How did you get your two car pots filled up so quickly? Well done! :T:T:T
Well done too on shaving enough characters to fit your IVF pot in. Is that everything now? Because if not, I can see a few places where you could shave a few more characters if there are other things you want to include, so just let me know and I'll make suggestions.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Well, Mr P was put in charge of saving for the cars and as he does not update me (not from a lack of asking on my part I might add) I can't add it to the pot. And as I got him to agree yesterday to pay all the car annual costs I no longer need a savings pot so I've reduced the target and closed the pot. Yay
Hmmm, the full stops could go and the commas between the mortgage info. Was that what you were thinking? No, there's no additional pots to add.
Right, I'm procrastinating from finding some curtain hooks. I should go.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

That's something we will do, within the next year, go down to one car.
To be honest my car is now a bit of an extravagance. My office is very near where my husband works, so he gives me a lift to work. We have three days at home together, so his car is available on those days. So I only use my car two days a week, just to potter around locally, things like having my hair done, taking parcels to the post office, and going out for the odd lunch.
My car is serviced, taxed and insured up until February, so I'm keeping it for now, but early in the new year I think it'll have to go. I'll be gutted as I love that car!Early retired - 18th December 2014

Yes, I did think of the punctuation. Also, you could condense the mortgage onto one line:
Mortgage Now: April 2014, £138,380, MF Dec 2035 Peak: July 2011, £154,000, MF July 2036.
The trick is to remove anything that doesn't actually give information, like the "at"s. Don't do it now, though. Just bear it in mind for the future in case you think of more things you want to add.Starting again 13/4/19Home loan 1: £21,102.50 Home loan 2: £7,698.99Total owed: £28,801.49

Goldiegirl, our cars became an extravagance. We really should have got rid of mine sooner. Towards the end I only used my car once every 2 weeks. Mr P hardly uses his now. I got £54 back from my car insurance company which is going straight into my savings pots. They took a £50 cancellation fee - grrrr.
Lois, is there anyway I can get 2036 on the same as the rest of the mortgage info? Edited to add: did it.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

We've picked up our new car - whoop whoop. A tear may have come to my eye when we left mine behind. Hope you enjoy your new car!!I don't think its silly, I have little to no attachment to anything material but there is a certain amount of nostalgia that you feel when you have had something for years
