Thanks NG, it's at least 3 months until my first appointment. It's going to feel like an age.
I've been saving for months to buy myself a present. An epilator. Happy present day to me. It was £129.99, then £79 and now £58. Plus I got points. Wohoo. Now I have to pluck up the courage to use it.
Mr P is out at a networking event. So tonight it's just me and the TV.
Take a couple of ibuprofen before you use it and it'll be less painful.. or go for a different approach - wine or whiskey before you use it! :rotfl:I wouldn't guarantee what results you'd get with the latter though!Mortgage amount at 31/12/2011 £166,050 now £0 as at Sept 21 - 15yrs 4 months early.0 -
Actually, no pun intended. Totally coincidental. Thanks for the medication tips.
We're going away for a few days. I'll see if I'll find time to do my monthly update before I go away.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

. It DOES hurt, especially at first, but I do find it strangely relaxing
. A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort

OK, I did it. The legs weren't so bad but my underarms - double ouch. There was even spots of blood.
Our mini holiday was lovely. We stayed with friends and family so it was mucho cheapo. We took picnics for the journey there and back and our hosts cooked a lot of yummy meals. We'll have to treat them when they visit.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Tonight I was in the garden weeding the veg plots and deciding where to place the water butts. For dinner we ate some lettuce from the garden.
Mr P's MOT and road tax bills are through: £525 - ouch.
In good news Mr P got a few more jobs.
I've been thinking about applying for a job in Greater London but looking at the apartment and other costs plus with the IVF treatment starting, hopefully, soon I think we'd be better off staying where we are and having the support of my family.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

What a lovely few days. We visited family, did many loads of washing all dried on the washing line and did more house jobs. I even hunted through the attic for picture frames in the sweltering heat. Whilst up there I found Mr P's wedding toast and looked through some old school photos.
Tonight I spent too long at the N3xt sale. The choice was not good. But I picked up some clothes as presents, none for myself, and even put some back that I really did not need to buy. I spent £32 when full price it would have been £65.Pots: House £6966/£7100, Rainy day Complete, [STRIKE]Sunny day £0/£700[/STRIKE], IVF £2523/£2523, Car up-keep £135/£135, New car £5000/£5000, Holiday £1000/£1000, MFW #16 £2077/£3120

Hi Peonie, the job sounds like a big change! Is it a one off Opportunity Or could you postpone for a year or two and see what happens with the IVF first?MFW 67 - Finally mortgage free! 💙😁0

I did not apply for it in the end. I've not ruled out looking for anything in another part of the country in the future. Postponing would be a lovely idea. Even though the job would initially have been a £15,000 pay rise when you look at the cost of living in London and then travelling back home regularly to see family; I think I'm financially better off here. I have a 4 bedroom house in a good area and we're surrounded my family and friends. In London I'd have to pay more to buy a one bedroom flat in a half-decent area. Oh well, I'll keep looking.Hi Peonie, the job sounds like a big change! Is it a one off Opportunity Or could you postpone for a year or two and see what happens with the IVF first?
Thanks, I'm still waiting for the appointment letter to arrive. Come on Mr postman.icontinuetodream wrote: »good luck with the ivf peonie....keeping my fingers crossed for you!
