Have you tried pilates? It feels very gentle in comparison to other exercise but some of it really does leave you feeling like you've had a good work out, and in the comfort of your own living room :)

Cycling does feel great though, it's just the wind that drives me crazy, it's great if it's behind you but cycling into it is horrible!

Hi Becky, wind is not a problem in my living room. I have an exercise bike. I don't get as bored as quick, cars don't skim me and I don't have to deal with the weather.

I'll have a look on UTub for pilates work outs. I'm hoping to mix it up each night. I did not feel like doing any exercise tonight but clocked up 12 miles.

Have a great break. What are the exercise challenges? More info please.

Hi - it's just the 30 day challenges that you find on the internet - everyone at work has decided to do it, so I thought i'd join in - links below

30 Day Squat challenge & crunch challenge

7 minute High intensity work out

Blogilates - for your workouts - some pilates, some cardio

you might ache for the first few days but after that your body gets used to it. I imagine with your leg muscles will be fab anyway from cycling, so you should be able to manage the squats really well.

Hi Shala, thanks for the links. I'll have a look at them. I've hit this month's exercise target. It's funny; now I've completed this month's challenge I have lost my drive to do exercise.

In financial news, it's pay day!

Oh my goodness, I looked at the squat and crunch challenge and they are insane. I thought it would be 10 squats a day. Oh no.

Well, it's operation week and strangely I'm looking forward to it. I just want to get it over and done with and I'm hoping that whatever they find we can do something about it and we can move on with our lives.

On the money front I got the dress but had to pay £56 + p&p to get it. Still £94 lower than full price and it was exactly the colour I wanted. Fingers crossed it will fit me. And better still; Mr P bought it.

Good luck for the op. Best not do the squats first, just in case .

    Glad you got dress :)

Have you seen the list? You start at 50 squats and go up to 250 by day 30. That's just crazy. And I will stay away from squats before the op.

I've just updated by SOA. I've not looked at my account since the end of April - oops.

I'm on day 8 of the squats/crunch challenge, so a rest day:T they're the best!

Honestly, once you get through the first day then it's fine - I did 80 squats in one go yesterday and only felt a bit of burning in my leg muscles..

Go on you lot have a go :rotfl:we'll all have pert buttocks in no time!

Good luck for your op x

I'm alive! I had to stay in hospital overnight. I'm glad I did; I felt quite sick in the middle of the night. My illness has gone worse and they took samples of the tissue for analysis. I'll find out about any treatment at the next appointment. Now, I'm just going to rest.

P.S. I tried on the dress and it looks lovely.
